    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Tried telling me he was trading me a hypo trans leather fire red male and a trans het hypo fire red male, and a dunner double het female for my triple het (wit hypo trans ) female... Then sends me pics of barely orange dragons, the trans hypo wasn't trans, when I told him the deal was off he sent me a pic of another "hypo trans" that wasn't hypo... Needless to say the deal never went through, but I don't appreciate him trying to put one over on me... And he keeps saying my triple het lays infertile clutches?! How old is this kid?
 
You know what... I was told from someone else he is young, and I don't want to air him out... Forget this was posted... I'm not looking to discourage the kid from a passion of his, and I'm sorry I posted this... He's 15 and was probably trying to get the better end of a deal... Had he been a grown man I would post these pics... I was very upset at the time I posted this and have calmed down since, and finding out his age makes me feel like a bully... Some of the young guns can be turned around with something like this...

He may have continued to try and 'misrepresent' if you didn't 'light him up.'

Next time... Hit info instead. It's warranted!

Then, when you do learn, from an unidentifiable source, this kid is a minor and you back-peddle.

1) You already sarcastically questioned his age in your original post, see above "how old is this kid?", and you already aired him out.

2) You get questionable, third-party information about his true age and you want to delete a post YOU started questioning his age, his ethics and honesty?

No, I wouldn't ever discourage a kid from learning or persuing an interest in herpetology or biology or entomology ... or math, or literature, or science, or the arts, or music.

That said, I would not also coddle or excuse that kid from attempting a scam or theft, just because he is 15. NO excuses.

How many people did you rob or try to scam at 15?

Better to out him now than later, so maybe he'll learn some fn thing.

I'd like to see the emails and pictures as well.
If he sent you honest pictures, I'd like to see the descriptions he sent in his own words to see if they amounted to misrepresentation.
If they did and he is selling, a warning here is justified on behalf of future buyers.
The actual description he used is important in deciding whether he was putting one over on you. Or not.
 
This does NOT deserve a Bad Guy thread. How many adjectives can you put in front of a bearded dragon anyway? It would be easy for someone to get confused with all of that, just take a look at your post. I have been in the reptile hobby for 25 years and could not tell you what a " trans het hypo fire red male, and a dunner double het female for my triple het (wit hypo trans ) female" looks like.

That still remains to be seen. If there was blatant misrepresentation involved, this thread is very warranted.

Ever notice how such "confusion" is basically always to the current owner's benefit?

If the OP thinks he has a winning hand, he should lay his cards on the table, for all to see. If the subject actually is a kid who's trying to run a scam, it's always possible that he could be "scared straight" by being busted. Especially if someone were to dig up a parent's contact info to get them involved. Either way, sweeping this situation under the rug won't help anyone.
