In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Exceptional looking boas. The color on the salmon is terrific.
Is there a term already in place for an albino salmon, the eventual products of that project?
And what's the genetic mechanism of salmon? Is it simple recessive or co-dominate, or something else?
I always admire the boa morphs, but since I don't breed them myself I haven't kept up with the gentics of them all.

That is one of the best Salmons I've seen and I'm not an expert on Hypo Boas but I believe thats a Super.
Clay I thought someone who works with Salmons would answer your Q's when you posted but I'll give it a shot seeing it's been a while.
The term for an Albino Salmon is Sunglow. Salmon is co-dom like a Pastel Jungle Ball Python. If you breed a Salmon to a normal you should get 50% Salmons and 50% normals. If you breed two Salmons together you should get Salmons and Super Salmons. If you breed a Super Salmon to a normal you will get all Salmons.
I was going to get into Salmons years ago but went with the best deal and bought a various Het Ball Python Package instead.
Next year (04-05) I'll be breeding my Coral Phase Albino male to a Pastel Dream 66%Het Alb from J Ronne. She's not the same as a Salmon but that line has produced some Killer Albinos. If you get a chance you should check them out at the Boaphiles. SAWHEET. lol. Someday I will be buying a Salmon Het Sunglow
Hope this helped,
Rob

Thanks Rob. I knew that a hypo albino was a sunglow, but wasn't sure if the same would be true with the salmon. I have never been completely clear on that trait.
It the salmon just another name for hypo or are there two different strains?
If there are different strains are all the hypos co dominate?

Hi Clay, I knew you did.lol
There are Orange Tail Hypos and Salmon Hypos they are both Co-Dom and it's my understanding that they are compatable. You dont see too many Orange Tails anymore because the Salmons are more stunning.
I believe we may have an Orange Tail but she dropped slugs this year so we will have to wait for two more litters to be born before we know.
For an interesting read about Salmons you can go right to the source SalmonBoas.com it's Rich Ihle's site. I believe if you click on articles you will find the info on Salmons and it's much better than I could ever give.
Take Care, Rob

If all the hypos are co dominate then that puts an entirely new twist on this thread .
Our explanation as is works fine, until you consider the hypo being co dominate. That changes alot.
