In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I picked this awesome female last year in a trade deal and the breeder and I agreed we would call her a leopard het pied with a SMOKING ringer. But a few people have noted her clean belly (instead of the signature dirty belly leopards have) and tell me she could be a low-white leopard pied. I wanted to see what everyone on Fauna thinks? Photos are not stellar.....but I have included some belly shots and a general picture of her. Any input is appreciated.

Thank you for the input - I really appreciate it! That was my thinking too.......but because she's a leopard, I was not 100% sure......thanks

I haven't heard of anyone disproving that Leopard and Pied are allelic, so I would assume it to be a Leopard Pied, meaning it has a Leopard gene and a Pied gene sitting on the same locus. Like a Mojave/Lesser BEL.

Based on my own experiences thus far with leopard breedings, I think the pictured snake is a leopard double het. I produce a small amount and I am far from an expert on them.

I also get this from one of my pairings and have talked with others on it. Some believe it is just the het pied showing the clear belly, however yours and mine are both from leopard pieds and all are 100% anyway. Most of mine contain the speckled belly.

I am leaning towards it being the second gene in there, axanthic in your case. Mine are from a clear bellied female with nice color that I am going to line breed and check out. The babies I suspect to be more are very different in pattern also.

You have a great looking animal with some really nice potential there. Good luck on your pairings.

Yes, it's the almost clear belly that had me wondering, because leopards have that dirty belly.....she has a little bit of dirt but hardly the amount my other leopards have. I really appreciate the input from everybody. I may put her to an axanthic het pied male this season.

This is a possibility, too bad it is so low white and not much going on at the belly line, at least for the original producer anyway.

Sorry, after comparing my clear belly picture to yours I have to go with Matts answer of pied. My clear bellies show the het for pied markers very clearly and yours are absent. Still not definitive, but more likely.

Wow. *scratches head* that's interesting......I guess the only way to prove her out as a pied would be to breed her to a visual pied or combo pied male? Because if she's a pied every single baby would be pied.

Leopard het pied. Wouldn't the belly be all white, at least down the middle?

I would have to agree with Nick on this one, That is a beautiful Leopard! Mine also have cool ringers near their tail. I would (think) that if it were a leopard pied, the whole belly would not only be clear, but white as well (like it is near the tail at the ringer). Again, She is one of the best I have seen, very cool!
