    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have two Leo's I got from pets mart a few months back. they were doing good eating everyhting in side whic I dusted with calcium and minerals. I did have them on calcium sand(have since changed because I was told I got bad advise). I have them in a 20 gallon tank with heat on one side with a hide. I have another hide on the other side of the cage. I have a water bowl on the non heated side and have paper towls as a substraite. They have now stopped eating the mealworms and rarely eat the crickets. They have been loosing weight rapidly from not eating. Is there any suggestions I can do to get these guys to start eating again? Any advise is welcomed, I am more of a Cresty guy and have alot of knowledge of them and thought i put enough study time in to raise some leo's but it seems i need a little help. Thanks in advance!

I dont have a thermometer in the cage. I have a exto-terra heat pad below one side of the tank. Maybe I should get the temps of both ends of the cage? what should the temps be on both ends?

You definitely should have something to accurately read the temperatures in the tank. They sell digital heat probes at Petsmart for like $7-$8 bucks. The warm end should be between 86-90˚F, cool end 72-75˚F. If not kept warm enough it will effect how much they eat since they're cold-blooded.

I would get a temp gun. It is one of the best $30 investments you can make.
Do you have lights above the cage at all? Bright lights above the cage often cause stress.
