In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

is the market for lepoard geckos still strong. how long does it take some of the breeders to sell babies. and what are the honest prices right now. if you dont want to post on the public fourm just pm me.

i am asking as i am thinking of picking up a few of these and just want to know if i can even break even on them.

thanks
Matt Fisher

From what I've gathered and know, you're lucky if you break even. Alll of us are in it for the love of the geckos. Sorry to sound negative, but that is how it is.

no its more then ok. i just wanted to hear honest answers. i went to the site urban gecko. and they still have verry $$$ animals. and i was just wondering if the demand was more or less then the supply.

Everybody and their kids breed leopard geckos. It is really hard to sell them for $$$$, or even cents for that matter. The only people willing to spend any real money on leos are dedicated hobbiest breeders who already have nice sized colonies. Additionally, these breeders only tend to buy off of well established breeders like TUG.

Other than that most buyers seem to be looking for the cheapest leos they can find. :ack2:

You have to have the right type... The Urban Gecko and Ron Tremper are so successful because of who they are and their animals.

i should proabbly change that. i just moved to iowa. i was just there for a few years whial i was in the millitary.

Macks have been the new thing so everyone wants to be the first to hatch this or that combo.
This year the enigma crosses and maybe some raptor crosses should be coming out. Plus there are always the standard twenty or so traits and combos involved.

I would like to see someone produce Giants and Super Giants. I haven't seen any for sale for a long while, I'm interested if anyone is producing these.

http://www.geckosetc.com/ has Giant Mack Snow Trempers... aka Big Macks... I'll let you know if I see anyone else making Giants.

Business is slow depending on who you are.

We work with Giants still, and have Red Stripe/Albinos, Jungles, Reverse Stripes, Stripes, Patternless Red Stripe/Albinos(Aptors), Mack Snow/Super Sno/Albinos, and Ruby Eyed Albino, projects going with them.

The hard part is telling which are Giants/Supers, and telling someone that their "Giant"(heterozygous) may not get that much bigger than a regular Leo.
