    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Okay I've read all the stuff about basking lights and daytime lights but I want to know what you guys suggest as a lighting set-up. Wattage and brands you guys use. On that subject what brands do any of you recommend for general Leo care? I tend to stick with Flukers and T-Rex, why I don't know it's just what I use. Its pretty much what they sell at our Pet Shops in Ohio. Thank You.

Very few of my gecko cages are heated with lamps. Most are heated by UTH. Charles of Masterpiece Geckos swears by the red bulbs, stating that they make the geckos look better, but I honestly don't care. I use regular incandescent 60 watt bulbs because it gets the temps near 90 in the cages I use them for and I always have them around the house and they are cheap.

Due to Leos being nocturnal they do not need any special lighting at all, they will get all the light they need through the natural sun light that comes through a window. As long has you use an under tank heater and the ground temps of the hot side is between 85-93, with the cool side between 75-80, then you are set as far as heating goes.

I don 't use any lights on my Leos other than red bulbs and that is when i want to keep an extra close eye on one of them
Because they are a nocturnal animal I personally don't feel that they need any direct lighting on their cage
Albinos can be ultra sensitive to light
Ambient lighting from the room that they are in seems to be sufficient imo
I also use only uth's for heat
