    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

To the original poster~ you said you didn't understand why it would upset some people that you want a pied so cheap.......well I don't think it insults us that you want a pied so cheap~ but more that you think you should get one that cheap. There is the years and years and years of work Dan told you about in the previous post~ and there are people like me.....I desperately want a pied too. So 3 years ago I paid $4000 for a pair of 02' hets (YES THAT IS A LOT of money for me too!). I did everything the best I could, bought books and videos, payed out tons of money for equipment, feed, electricity, thermostats and then I hoped and prayed they would produce a pied for me in 2005. Didn't happen. I didn't even get any possible hets because the male would not breed any females. I fed them for another year, talked to breeders, read everything I could get my hands on about breeding, and even paid $500 for ANOTHER PROVEN het pied male to breed my female. I really was hoping for a pied in 2006. Didn't happen. My male still would not breed and I got the new male too late in the season to produce for me. So I fed them for ANOTHER year~ my original het pied male is breeding now, and my new het pied male are breeding. I've got them breeding LOTS of girls......my het pied female is 2500 grams this year. But there is still no guarantee I'm gonna get a pied this year. I hope I am. I REALLY hope I am.......

But hey~ why don't you just buy one for pocket change?

No one is insulted that you WANT a pied for $500~ I want one for that too! In fact~ I'll take two....one for 2005 and one for 2006!
But a few of us are a little insulted that you seem to think it's just so easy why can't you buy one for just $500?

And by the way, I wasn't referring to the BPs as cars, I was comparing the "I want" to the ridicluously low price you are "willing" to pay.
Just because you 'want' one doesn't mean that someone is going ot go "OH!! He WANTS one.. geez, I should sell him one for what I'd pay for a decent male pastel.. after all he WANTS one."
I mean, what kind of reasoning is that? I WANT a lot of things, so I work really hard and get them when I have earned them. If you don't have the $5K to buy a pied, then you either work really hard and save up money, or you buy lower priced hets and put in the legwork and time and effort to eventually breed your own pieds.
The idea that the few of us that HAVE a pied are snobby and don't want 'fingerprints' on our spiffy snakes we don't care about.. is not only false, but terribly insulting. Most of us have put in a lot of time, money and effort not to mention heartache into trying to breed or earn the morphs we would like.
Instant gratification doesn't happen for a low price. Better that you learn that now.

maybe you guys are misunderstanding what i was requesting.just because i would like to have a piebald or ivory for the money that i have available at this time does not mean that i expect any one to just give it to me for that. i am currently looking into hets.i just wanted to see if maybe somebody had one that they did not want or maybe they had to get rid of in a hurry that maybe needed the cash and would sell it to me for what i have at the time. and why get upset at my request if you dont like what i wrote in my thread dont read it.i see some in here i dont agree with or like so i skip over it i dont try to ridicule them. and if i can give positive feed back i do. so i still dont see why anyone is getting offended. i did not say someone better give me one for less then 500.00 i was just inquiring to see if maybe someone needed to get rid of one and they would sell it to me so all i can say to whoever might read my thread that if you dont like what i have written there is an x at the top right of your screen click it and dont worry about me cause i am not worried about you and to everyone who has animals that they care about and not to show off and brag about good luck with your breeding and i hope that you and your animals have a happy and healthy life goodnight and goodluck

Good luck with finding hets. I know there are plenty of people with them for sale on various places. Just watch which places. Check the BOI as there are at least two high name places that are known for selling het pieds that are really normals. I don't want to see you get reemed by a dishonest seller. I got taken for three females that will most likely not be hets at all.

I can guarantee you there is NO ONE who would have a piebald or ivory that they "did not want" or would sell to you for $450. They would be taking a very large financial loss by doing so and would be screwing themselves out of thousands of dollars.

If you don't want us to compare them to cars, then let's compare them to other animals. An English bulldog breeder or scarlet macaw breeder that sells puppies/birds for $1,000 - $2,000 is NOT going to give you one for $450. It would be a joke and even an insult for you to ask them for that. THAT IS EXACTLY WHY EVERYONE HAS A PROBLEM WITH YOUR THREAD.

They are actually on a well known wholesale list (for wholesale buyers) for $1750. I am not joking.
 
and for the dog stuff you are talking about why dont you ask jon at [email protected] how much he got rid of his american bull dog that he paid 1100. for it bit his 5 mo old child so he left it go for 50 paperwork and all he spent more then that at the vets. some people get scared of them.some people get divorced. some people go to jail. some people do drugs and need money. nothing is guarenteed in life so please stop acting childish and leave me and my thread alone jen dont you have like 40 animals and a child and husband to spend your time with and not me. i am starting to think you really like me or something sorry girl i am already taken.maybe there is someone else out there for ya bye bye
 
If someone offered me a pied or a leucistic for $500 I would decline the offer, seriously. Unless I know the person and it's a personal friend I would not dare to risk my animals. As they say: "If it's too good to be true..."

Your "friend" let the dog go for $50, if that story is true, because there was SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE DOG. If the dog was healthy and perfectly normal (non-aggressive), he never would have sold the dog for that much less than it is supposedly worth, correct? :rolleyes:

A dog that is aggressive enough to bite a mere baby should never have been resold at all.
 
like i said i dont mind getting troubled animals they need to have a home and be loved to
 
No one is going to sell a "troubled" ivory or piebald -- all snakes bite at some point or another, it's their instinct. So it wouldn't be unusual.

Trust me, I have no interest in you whatsoever. I prefer men with some common sense and a halfway decent grasp of grammar and sentence structure. My husband can attest to that.

I just want to let every one know that they can send me any unwanted pied, albinos, clowns, etc.

However I will require a $10,000 rescue fee for feeding and caging. :dgrin:
