    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

i just got me a mangrove monitor about 3 weeks ago and she keeps her 55 gallon "home" a mess i cant keep her water bowl clean and all she does is try to get out all day is this just a thing that these monitors do or am i doing something wrong

Sorry this reply is so late....

They can be a little spastic. We've attempted taking our monitor out and handling him several times a week to see if it would help him calm down, and we've had some encouraging results. It used to be that if we just went into the ROOM he'd go nuts, running like crazy. Now he's not so reactive if we walk around in the room or stand by his tank.

Monitors are new to me as well, so I'll share more as I learn...

P.S. The water bowl....it's a lost cause....just keep changing it.

Your mangrove monitor is highly aboreal at this age, and will become more aquatice as she/he grows. I suggest building an enclosure so as to allow for a pool more so than a water dish. My 3footer didn't like her enclosure for 6 months, now she swims and climbs her tree all day. To the point, it takes them a while to become a custom to their surroundings, and you included.

Hey sup i was just wondering where you got your mangrove at any help would be appreciated

How much are mangroves? I have been researching them for a while and am really interested.
