Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have been driving some miles to get rat food from Mazuri.
Now Mazuri is shipping cheap. Shipping only cost me $10 for 2 50lb bags.

I pay $30 a bag at a supply company and have to drive to get it. Now its cheaper to order it and they take pay pal.

My total was $64 for the 2 bags with shipping. :)

I wish i could get kit any wheres local for that price. We have maybe 3 stores within 25 miles that sell it and it goes more for $35. Only the Purina place has it for $29 + tax.

If i could get it that cheap, i would breed rats for local people around here. I get calls and emails all the time asking if i could sell them some rats.I do when i can,but i have many mouths to feed and really dont want to produce too many racks in my house. It will stick up. 2 breeder racks is enough,and i buy most all my lg's from jpcons in CT.
 
My food was ordered on the 10th,shipped on the 11th and got here today on the 13th. Not bad for a 100lb package . Shipped ups in 2 boxes.

Thanks for the heads up. I've been paying $33 a bag out here (YIKES), and have to have it special ordered for me. I can get 2 bags delivered to my door for $6 less. :thumbsup:

I think this was a great idea by Mazuri. I save 1$ cash and no driving 10 miles each way.

My local feed store went up over 25 a bag for mazuri. I switched to kent aka blue seal i noticed it stinks faster but for 18 bucks a bag it works good for me. Also I talked to a rep at poulan grains I sent him specs same as mazuri he is in process of figuring cost. The only thing is there making it in 3 ton batches and I have to take all 3 ton. Hopefully it's decent product at decent price

Thats a bit too much feed for my few racks. I have to say that my rats like this Mazuri 6f and do well breeding with litters from 10-14 consistently. I dont think for a few $ i would switch. Plus my rat racks are in my basement and would hate if its got smelly. I have to change tubs every 3 days to keep odor away.
