In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

DO not buy from Michael Lawton plase, or sell for that matter. It was extremely hard to get him to send me my snakes after I paid in full. He kept telling me days, then changing it. I purchased a butter corn snake and a pied sided. Pied sided died before shipping he said, and he spent my money so was unable to pay back. He offered me a pair of normal corn snakes with nice hets instead. I didn't know at the time he didn't have a car and such. Once I did get the snakes they were in very poor shape!! One died about 8 hours upon arrival and another died withing 2 days. The third one I purchased is fighting to survive. She has been to vet. Regurged her first mouse....an adult corn snake regurged a fuzzy mouse. I paid $295 with shipping plus $118 at vet. I will post pictures of our conversations and pictures on the snakes conditions. Very dehydrated animals and very skinny.

More on Michael Lawton

Snake I wanted died and he admitted spending my money before I even got snakes delivered.

Michael Lawton

Said it was okay to ship two snakes in one bag. I didn't know at the time it is not a good idea, but he knew. I even asked him to double check and he insisted it was okay.

Michael Lawton snakes conditions

Two normals are super skinny. He did say one was supposed to be a year old and another almost 2.

YEs!! Quarantine is definitely a priority. Had to tube feed the Butter snake all week. Fed a pinkie to her today so just waiting and praying she can at least digest a pinkie with some Nutribac. Just waiting for time to pass by.

1: are the screenshots in order?
2: can you please post all the screenshots since it looks like a bunch are cut off and missing portions.
3: Did you buy knowing there was a possibility of crypto? I cant tell because of your screenshots.
Thats all for now.

Ultra skinny very sad looking snakes that could quite possibly have crypto (not revealed to you until after you'd bought and shipped of course)? D:

Just...just WOW.

I'd like to hear the other side of the story but those pics tell a pretty grim tale.

He revealed the crypto on Facebook when she made a post about the sick snakes, after she received them and, I believe, after at least one died.

Yeah...just over here shaking my head. Crypto is NOT something you should have to DRAG out of someone and it's NOT something to just casually mention later after deaths happened! "Oh, by the way, those snakes I sold you a while ago quite possibly had crypto, my bad :)'

We're talking about a disease that can decimate collections (of course I know everyone here knows that.)

Very very despicable for the seller to send such sick snakes. Heartbreaking to see them, especially the deceased one.

It looks like this seller does not have the maturity or resources to be caring for snakes, much less trying to be breeder or dealer.

I'm sorry that you got ripped off, thanks for posting. It will help others avoid the same situation.

In my Lawton BOI post there are also photos of someone else getting a snake from Lawton that tested positive for Crypto. his response was "Just cuz the vet said it looks like crypto doesnt mean it is..."
Then a few days later he is still posting snakes up for sale even AFTER the knowledge that a snake from his collection tested positive for it. Below are the photos again.
Thank you for the post Jolene!

Wow...DISGUSTING is the ONLY word! :ack2:

Any ethical breeder/seller would LOCK THEIR COLLECTION DOWN until the crypto was done with and for months after. No animals in OR out.
