• In the past two days I have gotten emails asking about being requested to provide credit card info in order to register and also to make a post in the classifieds forums. PLEASE NOTE: In no instance will this site ask you for this sort of information. The only time any request for payment is made is if you choose to opt-in for a higher membership level, and that is done SOLELY through PayPal. Anything else is coming from a source other than this site. My guess is that this is coming through Google Adsense, but when I can get someone to send me a screen shot of this sort of request, I will know more.
  • Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Buying and instantly selling: Big Headed Turtles - Platysternon Megacephalum

In a period of only 4 days (1/10/18-1/13/18) different pictures of the same animals have surfaced by 3 different sellers including Mike Lee. Mike Lee repeatedly views his ad but refuses to publicly answer any questions posed to him including the birth continent of the big heads he is selling.

Here are some of the images used by the 3 separate sellers. Though these pictures are of different angles/settings, clearly they are of the same animals. Pictures all appear to be from a single source as well as the hand holding them remains consistent in each.

There are very few people producing true CBB Platysternon in the USA and perhaps only one private keeper who is a good friend of mine and who bought his original founders from me. After reading the comments section of the ad for these turtles it is abundantly clear that the original seller who supplied "Mike Lee" knew the origin of these turtles but dodged the question and didn't want to talk about it. He also played dumb to knowing they were CITES 1. That's a huge red flag and I'd say with certainty these are smuggled animals.

The "original" seller 'here' lists them for sale on Jan 10th, 2018.
However, a different seller lists them for sale on Facebook on Jan 9th, 2018.
Who actually had these CITES 1 turtles in hand then?
