We are proud to say that after spending lots of time designing and testing different sorters and shakers we are finally able to separate the Mini mealworms aka lesser mealworms (larvae from the cleaner beetles) from the roach frass and all other things in the colonies!!!
We have been spending sometime feeding them to our shop reptiles and the results have been great! The bugs are constantly moving at a decent speed to catch the eye of most reptiles. They are small enough to be fed to hatchling reptiles such as bearded dragons, geckos, chameleons, monitors and not worry about them choking! They are excellent for picky eaters who wont eat other bugs like crickets or superworms! (video posted on our Facebook page All About Feeders)
Unlike regular mealworms these Mini mealworms have a softer shell and are very easy to chew and digest! They are almost 50% protein and about 25% fat! These are a very common feeder in the UK for reptiles as well as people!
