    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I've been having some problems with my beardie recently. for the last two weeks she hasn't had a bowel movement outside of her bath and on the occasion that she does at least once in particular it has been runny and awful smelling. I removed all of her substrate just in case it was an impaction because before she wasn't pooping at all. she's eating well and her energy levels are good. just how much should I be worried? she's been shedding too, could that be part of this?

I'd say a visit to the vet is in order for a checkup and fecal. Call and get her an appointment as soon as possible. But in the meantime, how often have you been giving her baths? Soaking her in a nice warm bath and massaging her tummy can help her to poop. I would do that at least daily until you can get her in to the vet. If she's eating well, she should be pooping it out regardless of if she's shedding.

I've been bathing her daily to help clear her out. I'll be able to get her down to the vet on thursday. I was wondering if the diarhea could in any part be related to her diet or if anyone has experienced problems like this before. I've been feeding her mustard and turnip greens, dandelion greens and berries (blueberries, rasberries, strawberries and occasionally blackberries). for live food crickets. if anyone is from the tucson area, any recomendations for a good vet that handles beardies? any help would be much appreciated.

I agree with Cathy, he needs to see the vet. If his stools are loose, than I think there is more going on with him then a impaction.

thanks for the advice everybody. I got an appointment set up for her on thursday and I'll continue the baths untill then. I'll let everybody know what happened with her after the visit:)

I got her down to the vet yesterday, it was coccidia. I got the medication for it where I work for like a couple of bucks. So according to the doc my lizard should be back to her happy hyperactive self in no time. Thanks for your help everybody!

Glad to hear you got her taken care of, and it wasn't anything "major" wrong!!! :)

One day of treatment and she's back to her normal lizard self! She sure is stubborn about being medicated. it wasn't so bad yesterday since she was still a little weak. I'm so happy she's doing good!
