    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have tried different things to keep their nails from getting long but It's not working. Does any one have any suggestions or should I just take them in to get clipped. I guess I am worried about taking them out into the cold.
:shrug01:

You can clip them yourself. Just be sure to clip no farther than the translucent part, if you clip into the darkened part of the nail he will bleed.

Oh, I used to clip my dogs until I clipped one of them real good. I refuse to hurt any of them ever again so I go have it done. I have a problem with seeing very small things so it probably would not be a good idea for me to do. I guess I will call around and see if anyone does lizards.

That works for me. I was also told a small pet store I know might cut nails also if I needed sooner.

You can take a little square of sandpaper and file them down with it. It will shorten them and round them out. It takes about 5 min per dragon and costs nothing!!! :)

Hey thats a good idea, but heres a dumb question for you. Does it matter what grade the sand paper is? Should it be the real find stuff? I sure hope they cooperate and let me try because every time I hold them I wind up with a lot of scratches.

OK I tried the sand paper but it didn't work. Unless I can get a good hold of the nail so it doesn't move it won't work. I tried holding the nail but they are so small and I felt like I was putting too much pressure on their toes.

I should have been more specific when I said sandpaper. I use a dremil tool with a piece of 180 on the tip. If used on the low setting you just hold the tip of the nail up to the sandpaper and within a couple seconds the nail is filed and rounded off.

Sorry for the misleading post....... :ack2:

OK I looked it up to see what it was and thats what I thought. I don't have one of those. Its kind of similar for what that have out there for doing Ladies nails. I don't know if it would work the same or not. Either way I will have to get one. Thanks again.

Mike I got my dremil tool and did their nails. It was awesome. I sanded down their nails so fast. I was surprised they sat still for this? I wonder if I can use it on my dogs also. I would have to find out what sanding paper to use. Thanks for your help. :hurray:

Awesome, ain't it??? :D You will learn to love that machine. It really does have a million uses.

I'm sure it would work for the dogs as well but you would probably want to use 120 on them.
