    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

What do you guys use to contain you're venomoids when you are doing tank maitnence? I have a pair of White lip pythons who are VERY aggressive and it is hard to work in there cages and esp hard to work with them. they turn into squirming poop spewing monsters if you try picking them up.

I have seen hide boxes that have a remotly closable door and a clear bottom so you can check on the snake in a situation that is safe for you and snake. Any one know who makes them?

Most transfer boxes are home made. There are a few companies making them but i cannot think of them off hand. Jungle habitats or something. Check with the pvc cage makers i think a few of them make them. You might want to even do a search on these forums as I am sure the questions has come up before

Ok i found a few hits using shift box, or catch box. But most are crude plywood things. the only comercial one i saw was from jungle plastics. looks like i might be making my own. Its not really for my saftey but my snakes with keep striking the glass whenever i am around and i want to be able to take them to a feeding tank which i can't do right now very peacefully

I think that is the opne that got me thinking about the concept a while back. thank you.

What i am in the process of is building a box out of lexan. opaque sides and a double roof that can open to a clear door or open all the way to remove snake and clean box. its 8X10X3 Its a bit rough yet, but i have faith that it will be a great addition and with clear top and bottom it will make it easier to examine the snake without her able to hurt herself by striking at the glass(hopefully not enough room in there to get a good lunge).
