    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Need opinions on this guy.

I hatched this guy from a Barnhart line pewter to a pinstripe. It is either the ugliest pastel ever produced or something weird. Let me know what your thoughts are. I have several more pairings coming from this pewter, so I see if it pops up again. Thanks for your feedback.

Man i would say ugly pastel. We hatched an ugly one out the other day. I would let it shed a few times and see if it lightens up any. If its a female hold it back and breed her the you will know for sure.

update

Well it's not a pastel. I just hatched another clutch (pewter x butter) and produced a second one. This time there were pastels to compare with.

Thanks Summer, I think so too. Just glad this girl is even here, she was a twin and the other one crawled out and died. I got some really cool stuff from this pairing that shows why the Barnhart line is different.

Well I have 1.1 to play with now and two more clutches hatching from pastels soon. My favorites are these two black butters one normal and one with the Barnhart influence.

Wow! That is really cool to see Craig.

So it's looking like whatever the gene is that's causing this is expressing itself outside of my black pastel/YB and YB Onyx combos as well. This definitely helps shed light on some of the odd offspring I've been producing over the past few years. I believe I have enough holdbacks to really figure this thing out soon.

Having a somewhat small collection, I was not able to dedicate a bunch of breeders to figure this out the first couple of years I noticed but this season I'm very motivated to figure this gene out and will be sure to throw some more pairs together than I originally planned.

Take care,
Tom
