I've been wanting a GTP for about four years, although I've been going back and forth between a GTP and an ATB, might just have to get one of each!
Anyway, Utah has a pretty good online classifieds with a good reptile section for Utah and the surrounding states but inevitably all the really interesting things are usually at least two and a half hours away from us. But I'd seen this ad for a GTP male that the owner wanted to sell because he had several and needed space for a different snake he had on the way and he was selling for a very good price. The ad was up for about a week and every few days the price would drop. This last Friday it dropped again and finally temptation won and I contacted him, especially since we already planned to be in the area the next day. So I got this neat little guy and his setup for an incredible deal! He is super tame so far. Took a few not great pictures before letting him chill out in peace.
He does have a little bit of a nose rub thing happening, hopefully that will clear up soon. Made some adjustments to his setup so he can't rub his nose on the screen top anymore. Will probably rework his whole tank soon but for now it's working pretty good, maintaining the right temp gradient and good humidity.
Still trying to think of a good name for him.
