• Responding to email notices you receive.

    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I apologize if this isn't the place for this, but I can't find anywhere else to post this or get help.

When viewing the list of forums all the folders are the Light Blue color indicating there are no new posts, but I know there are new posts. I have tried clearing my cache and I also check it in Safari (I use Firefox) and when connected from two different wireless connections. Is there something going on with the forum that is preventing the New Post Indicator from showing up? Is there a setting or something I need to fix?

Any information or a point in the right direction to get some help about this would be appreciated. Thanks!

I've actually never paid attention to the colors of the folders and message boards, so I had to go look - but apparently the feature you refer to is working on my end, as there are both blue and yellow/orange ones. Unfortunately, I don't have an answer to why yours aren't working...as long as you were logged in, and hadn't somehow triggered a reset. Maybe somebody else will have some input.
Try clicking the New Posts button & see what you get (its in the same line as the User CP).

Hey
Well, it looks like it's working now. Perhaps clearing the cache did it, but was delayed until someone posted something again. Either that or your new posts idea. Thanks!

Well, apparently it only feels like working sometimes, so this is still a problem if anyone has any suggestions.
