    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello everybody. I just bought two Rats. The females name is HoneyPuff, and she is all white with light tan blotches, and red eyes. The males name is Ash, and he is black and white. They are SO beautiful!! I love having them. I meant to get two females but got a male instead so the babies will go to my Corn Snake Jakers! I am happy about that! The male is having sneezing fits though. :ack2: HoneyPuffs sneezes and I know they can have allergies, but he sneezes a LOT. I am not sure if I should be worried. My Fiancee says hes sick, and hes the one I picked out. He has the cutest personality to! He likes to cuddle. HoneyPuffs also protects him and that is so cute! :) Seeing as how theres no biting involved! The male was also bleeding today. About a quarters size worth. We held him tonite wether he liked it or not to check him out, but he was really good for us. We think it is a scratch on his tail which is good to me! I'd much rather it be that. I wonder if its from the stupid Pet Store lady that picked them up by there tail!!?

We have a couple from work that has two females and they pretty much talked us into them. They are coming over tommorrow to give them an expert physical! Better then I could do, these are my firsts! I am glad to have the help, now if I could just find somebody who knows Snakes, and Geckos I would be great!! It didn't take much pushing though once I did the research and found out they can eat a lot of things from your house because I don't have a car and worry sometimes about getting to the Pet Store. Our friends are pretty great though and we haven't had that problem yet, but being able to feed them bread, lettuce, bananas and stuff helped a lot! I have a question though.

Can we feed them tomatoes. I wouldn't want to feed anything to acidic, but I don't know the levels in tomatoes. Their really good for us is all I know. Also does anybody know what to feed them if you are using the babies as feeders for Snakes. Just wondering, kinda like gutloading for my Gecko. Thank You! :)

Feeding the rats a high grade dog food or a lab chow would be best. The veggies will be eaten but more for the chewing they seem to do all the time and for water intake. The sneezing may be from the bedding you are using. What are you using?

The bleeding may be from the female not wanting his "attention" at the present time.

Where in Ohio are you located?

Thank You, and she might not because she could be prego. Only time will tell! Right now they have a spare towel, and some paper towels for them to chew apart and make bedding out of where they want. I have heard of Aspen and have some I have been using for Jake, but was not sure. When my friends from work come over tommorrow I had planed on asking them about it. lol
