    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi,
I just joined the group in hopes to find out information on Bearded Dragons. I don't have one yet but will be getting one next week. I wanted to find out as much as I could before I got one. The person I'm getting one from said a few of his babies have lost their tails from their litter mates but it would grow back. Will it actually grow back or just grow a bit as it gets older? They are only 3 weeks old right now so I didn't know if they would do better in pairs or alone. I'm looking for any suggestions on web sites with care information on them. I have been fascinated with them for a long time and just recently decided to check into getting one. Thanks in advacne on any suggestions you can give.

First off the tail won't grow back. Once they are gone they are gone for good. If the breeder told you that they would, he's either misinformed or lying to you just to get the sale.(I know that sounds harsh but I have heard of things like that happening.) Tail nips happen from time to time and there is nothing you can do about it. However, if there are multiple tail nips, missing toes and sometimes missing extremeties, they can easily be avoided most of the time. Most nips are from over crowding, a lock of food and improper heating. All of those have quick and simple remedies to prevent them.

I would seriously question the breeder you are getting yours from and also question the conditions the baby would be coming from. The last thing you want to do is bring in an unhealthy animal.

Dragons can live full happy lives by themselves. It's not necessary to have a pair. Most of the time they need to be separated at a later date anyway....

Good luck with your new dragon. Also, be sure to run searches here in the bearded dragon forum for any questions you might have. And if you can't find the answer you need, there are many of us here that can help you. :)
