    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Is anyone else having issues with getting the email notifications of their subscribed threads? Mine don't seem to be coming through for some reason :shrug01:.
 
Doublecheck the settings in your User CP. I can't actually speak to whether there is an issue with this or not, as I turned off email notifications years ago.
(Edit Options - find Messaging & Notification - find Default Thread Subscription Mode)


You didn't start using a different email, did you? It happens, and we can't overlook the obvious :shrug01:
 
Kyle's right, I'm having the same issue...no notifications this afternoon for posts made to subscribed threads.

Yeah, I just doublechecked the settings and they are set to instant email notification. And no this is still the same email :eek:.

I didn't get either of the notifications for this thread that you guys had replied.
 
Yep, same issue regarding threads and also PM's. :shrug01:
Thought maybe I put Fauna in the SPAM folder by mistake, but did not
 
Yeah, I know. Had to disable that for a bit while a problem was being looked at. Should be enabled again right now.
 
I think there may still be something wrong; after your last post here, a post was made to one of my other subscribed threads at 2:51 AM, and no notification was sent to me....weird.
 
Well, I thought it was restored by my server guys, but apparently not....
 
Turn off email notifications, and check your subscribed threads in your User CP...you'll never worry about it again. Seriously, though, I don't know how you guys can stand all those email notifications - they drove me nuts until I figured out how to make them stop (now they do again, lol, since I get them for all posts in the moderator section, which includes reported posts, infractions and warnings, and general mod talk)

Harald, I get lonely and like to see the emails! All joking aside, I may have a similar opinion with you once I have as many subscribed threads as you probably do. But right now I don't get that many emails about it per day and it helps keep me from staying on fauna ALL DAY :).
