Well okay... lol

One picture is my 5 1/2 gallon salt tank, with my pair of harlequin shrimp. Actually my female gave birth to about 3,000 shrimp larva a couple days ago. We were unable to save any for the simple reason that we weren't prepared. But it was an awesome experiance none the less! :) In that tank i have some corals, a little green banded goby and a couple of crabs and snails. No starfish will ever survive! ahahah! :)

The second picture is our 20 high reef tank. We have an engineer goby, a firefish goby, a true percula clown...and i thought something else but i could be wrong. In the refuge we have a limpet that reproduced, and a orange and purple lobster. This tank we no longer to water changes on, as it takes care of its self :) Yay!

Well maybe if people like you started posting more in that forum, that would change.........

ive been doing the fish thing since i was 5. seriously. right now im growing up some green and orange pike cichlids to breed. im a fan of the whole monstrous and destructive fish thing. my last tank setup had a jack dempsey two firemouths an oscar and a orange pike cichlid. whew1 no pics right now. im kinda mad at my catfish. see i have this hollow log with only one opening and my pike swam up there. my catfish swam in behind him and there was no way for the pike to escape. i just figured it was hiding. i know this cuz i found a cleaned skull floating at the top of the tank the other day. pissed me off

damn, thats unfortunate

a few years ago my dad had his 250gal tank setup with two oscars, and i had a 110 gal setup with a pair of huge dempseys, the osacrs where 6 and 9 inches and the two dempseys where both 8 1/2 inches, anyway ..my dad had cleaned out the tank and put the two osacrs in the dempsey tank for about an hour..well..needless to say the oscars never made it back into the 250gal...lol

now its a saltwater reef tank that cost us both 1500 each to get done

pikes arent as aggressive when theyre younger. once theyre adlts they eat everything else i nthe tank.... its what they do....

VERY well done aquascaping Brian!! Those are some dreamy freshwater setups. It's too bad the tannins (sp?) make the water murky in the Discus tank. But, I'm sure you have some happy fish because of them!

used to raise some African chiclids, nothing special, but i want to start up a reef tank, but I'm not looking forward to trial and error or the money... :>poke2<: lol i had a few full grown africans and i put a silver molly in there to see what happnes, and it KILLED all of the african. even my 2 seven inch plecos! she rules the 29 high for now. ::shakes fist::

That sucks! I can see where your chiclids wouldn't like the tannins, but it's great for the Discus and neon tetras (I love those little guys)!

yeah, i bet a good sized jack or green terror would give her an attitude adjustment. i want to go native, get some largemouth bass and northern pike or sumthin in a tank. thatd be cool. just so hard to find baby pike. im an avid angler so belive me ive tried. then iwanna put a trout tank together. thatd be neat too

With all due respect if I were still into fish as a hobby Id go to that forum to look at these kinds of post, I think it is that people tend to post these things in formus they are used to but if you want to talk leos, talk leos, if you want to talk fish, go to the fish forum.

Oh the water ain't cloudy nomore that was after I put in plant root pellets so it cloudied up for about 2 days. Just never took new pics of the tank. Thinking of taking the discus tank down been had it for 8 years. I might not because it just cycles itself.

My silver arrowana......his fins look a little roughed up (from my motoro stingray)in the pic but now it has grown all back
