• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

ok not good day

I know it is hard when you truly love your pups and they are not well. It just plain sucks. No other way to put it. I am very glad to hear you got some positive news, Robin!!.

she is definately not out of the woods yet but she seems to be getting better and should be home this weekend even if its just for a couple of days. i am trying to find out as much as i can about hyper immune disorders in dogs but my search isnt going very well. i found a bit but not allot of detailed info just mentions of it so i will continue to search... if any of you know anyone who knows about this or you find a site with info on it please let me know. we have to deal with this first before anything else
thank guys for the kind words and support.. i wil report back soon

Robin I have been praying for the recovery and continued good health of Pickles. I have a suggestion for your quest for further information: Texas A&M has an excellent and renowned vet school and they interface well with the public.

I emailed them some years ago with a question about a pet bird and they were happy to answer, and gave me good information and references.

I would recommend them highly and suggest you take advantage of their expertise and good reputation (especially as your taxes and mine help support them as they are a Texas state university).

my vet went to a & m and does continuing education every year 50+ hours... some of the people he contacted were at a & m but maybe i can find out more

Awww robin, so glad to hear she's improving!!!! I'm sure she will continue to improve with an attentive mommy like you, lol....I'll keep you all in my thoughts......keep updating us!! :)

latest report:
i called today and they she is doing great (considering how she came in) she will be coming home tomorrow!! and most likely for good with the exception of check ups and bloodwork and to get more meds. i have found out about a secondary blood test to test for Lupis... it is not as acurate as a biopsy but much safer at this time. it's called an ANA test, they basically test the blood it has to meet 7 of i am not sure how many, identifiable trais or signature of lupis... its not 100% but its usually cotrrect

she is also eating on her own... not allot but on her own... she wil be living indoors for some time (til she is completely out of the woods)... they said its ok its not allot but that she is eating on her own. they said if you were sick you wouldnt want to eat much so i am very happy.

well...

Robin, I didn't even know this thread was going on!!! At least you've been giving me daily updates on Pickly-Pooch! I hope you guys were able to bring her home to day, or maybe tomorrow... and that she is improving and getting stronger!
