I am not an expert, but I think chocolates have a silvery blush on the side, which I am not seeing in yours.

I could be totally wrong- i have a snake that could be a chocolate, and shows a pal, and stated the silvery blushing, along with her brown head, could make her a chocolate.

However, the only snake I know to have a purple tonge is the carpet. I definatly think you got a neat snake there.

Now, for my snake, my pal said she is a bit on the light side to be a chocolate for sure, but he said there is still a chance.

But hey, who knows, I could be wrong, or you can simply have something else that is totally neat- proving them out is half the fun, right??

I see a a similarity with mine the main thing I noticed is the white along side the pattern being so pronounced along with the dark contrast

wow how did you get to my house so fast? lol she looks identical to my girl everything about her. the dark contrast light pattern sides, the purple tongue you mentioned, the chocolate blushed head........i would have sworn you went to my house this morning and took those pics after i left of my girl lol

Very awesome. The belly is the most intriguing part to me, as I've never seen one quite like my girl till you posted your pics. What color eyes are your female's? Mine are almost a dark green on the top half, you can see it a little in the pics.

My female is around 900 grams and I'm hoping to breed her this next season to see what happens... If both of our girls prove out, I'd be interested in doing a baby swap to see if they might be the same trait :thumbsup:

Hmm... next time you get a chance, and you get a shot of her sides? Specifically look for any blushings. Double checking yours, I see a hint of a blush..maybe?

Now, do any of yous know that the purple tounge is indeed a marker for chocolates or could that be something else? lol, I am gonna have to see what color mines is...

It can be hard to determine if a snake is indeed a morph or not when its not obvious. I am in the same boat as you deb- not sure if mine is a chocolate or not, but breeding her to prove her out is the way to go. See, mine has the brown head and the silvery blushing, but its not very dark ( the photos did come up a little lighter than she really is, but no where near as dark as yours or abbey's) So, I dunno. I got mine in a trade, and the guy said she was a chocolate, but at the time, i didnt care...

In the past I've tried to get more information on real proven line Chocolates, but not enough people on the forums have them, so that didn't pan out well. My girl has some insane blushing and contrast. Hard to explain, and even harder to properly show her in a photo. I got her from a pet store, she stuck out like a sore thumb among the regular CH babies in the mix. I had to get her. We'll see if she proves - I'm pretty positive she will :thumbsup:

She looks nothing like any other snake I've ever seen in person. Even if she doesn't though, she's got a permanent home with me. She's awesome!

I'm hoping she's not a Chocolate personally. I hope she is something else entirely, but I'll take a Chocolate if that's what she ends up being

LOL, guys, I hope yours arent chocolates and something else b/c that would mak eme feel like mine has more of a chance to be a chocolate....

Yeah, I was finding it hard to talk to peeps as well. the one pal who gave me advice on my chocolate does breed them. I had this snake for a bit, and didnt really ask for a while b/c i got her in a convenience trade- said i'd take an adult normal, she was in with several other ones. She was in shed, but i could tell she had a blushed back, and she just looked better than the other norms. In the end, if she aint anything, she is still a pretty sharp normal- one of the few i will hang onto.

I, too, am planning on next season for my girl. So deb, welcome to the longest year...lol
