• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Our First Live Clutch!!!

I think...IMO...that slug died a week or so ago...the color is just not right....and the color is 1 of the last things that come in while incubating...it could have been a lesser...but it for sure died way before it was supposed to hatch.

Thank you guys! We are so excited. We actually did get 1 normal but it's pretty crazy looking. I'll post pictures of later now that they're cleaned up :) I really hope the bees are girls so I can keep them both :) Definiteley keeping the Lesser regardless of sex. The Lesser we bred her to was on a loan from our roommies :) Now, when we feed them for the first time, it has to be thawed pinkie or they won't eat, correct? I don't want to let any go until they have shed and eaten their first meal. Thanks again!!

This is only my second year breeding, but, I believe most people start out with live and either a rat pup or a hopper mouse...not pinkies. I use mice. Last year, all but 1 of my babies was switched to F/T by their 3rd feeding.

I use F/T rat pinkies, some people won't take the take and effort to do this but it works for me and they tend to be better eaters in the long run.

They shed!!

They just had their first sheds so I got pix before they were split up. They turned out great! Next, feeding :) So far all 6 are healthy, 5 shed (the Lesser was last one out of the egg so I guess that's why she hasn't shed yet, not to mention the father difference :) ). We also got them sexed. Apparently ALL girls except that crazy high pattern Bee.

Thanks again guys!
