Due to projected workload changes and increased traffic, I have decided to add another moderator to this site. I have been impressed with the way Dennis responds to messages posted here and handles himself very well, so naturally he came to mind when I started thinking about who I should enlist to help out.
Dr Jay Owens is soon to be picking up his medical profession again, and his time will likely be very limited that he can spend here helping out.
My busy season is rapidly approaching, so my own time may be greatly curtailed here. Although you may see me as logged into this site most of the day, in reality I am over in the reptile building and the computer is just sitting in idle mode while I am off doing my real work.
Ritchie Luna is really not a moderator on this site, but he does have that capability if he chooses to use it, but he tends to prefer to try to ferret out the bad guys, and sometimes the requirements of moderation are at odds with that particular task.
That was going to leave most of the duties falling on Ken Harbart's shoulders. Although is certainly capable to take up much of the load, it is just not fair for me to allow that to happen if I can foresee that result on the horizon. I could not do that to Ken, so I figured we needed some more help around here.
Dennis Thomas (dthomas) has been around here for quite a while, and as an active police officer, he is inclined to have a sensible, no nonsense approach in his responses to issues on this site. Many of his responses have been geared towards legal issues, and as such, I felt that his insight and help in an official capacity as a moderator would be very welcomed here. He already appears to be held in high regard by the people who he has done business with, so there was no doubt in my mind that he would be a definite asset to this site in a more official capacity.
I would like everyone to welcome Dennis to his new role here.
And thank you, Dennis, for accepting my invitation here as a moderator. Your help will be appreciated.
