    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hello! I have a 5 month old female pom. Her name is Choxie! I am aware she is going through the "uglies" but I'm not sure if she should get this "ugly". She lost a good deal of hair very quickly. Have you ever seen a pom pup that looked like this?

Her father had a nice full coat and her mom was a little on the "foxy" side. Do you know if this indicates a thin coat or not?

Oh, and I registered her as an orange sable, do you know if I was wrong?

It does look like she has lost an awful lot of coat, even for the "Uglies" stage, lol. Is her skin irritated/flaky/otherwise odd in any way?

She looks more cream sable to me, but it could be just the lighting in the pic washing out the orange. ;)

Her skin seems healthy, she isn't itching too much and she cleared her last vet visit. She just got her rabies shots, that wouldn't have anything to do with it? She acts normal and is veeery hyper. I bathe her once a week with puppy flea shampoo. I don't think its a health issue... the only weird thing is the hyperactivity but I haven't had a puppy in so long lol. Aren't they all just crazy?

I don't think she's a cream sable, her dad was deep orange with a leeeetle bit of sable and her mom was black. It would be nice though ^-^

Once a week is too often to be bathing at all, IMO..more less with a flea shampoo, even a "puppy" version. You're better off using a product like Frontline Plus for flea prevention, and bathing a lot less.

I agree with Cathy, bathing that often is not a good thing, it will dry out her skin and doesn't allow for natural oils in the skin.
Sometimes a very little bit of veg oil in the food a couple of times a week will also help the coat to become shiny and nice.
I am not sure about the color underneath either as it appears lighter to me, but may still darken but definitely a sable, cute girl you have there. :)
