    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I am quite new to ball python morphs and identification (except for the glaring obvious). I work at one of those scary big chain stores and our ball pythons are of course all normals. The last batch we got in though there is one that does not look like a normal. He appears a bit lighter and much more yellow. I was just curious if he is some sort of morph or just a normal that happens to look different. All the others look similar in color and this guy (or girl) really stands out.

I got a couple pictures with my phone. I do apologize it is my phone so the quality is not great, but hopefully they are decent enough to get a good idea. The first one is by himself and the second is him curled up with on of the others just to show the difference.

I was wondering the same thing. I just got a ball python that looks just like that one from our Petco yesterday and there was a HUGE difference in color between him (there was a second yellowish one too) and the other darker colored ones in the same aquarium.

Well, hopefully someone with more morph experience can figure it out! From everything I have seen it looks like a pastel to me, but without experience in the area I feel I am just plucking at random guesses.

looks like a very nice normal .. only way to know otherwise is to breed it.. keep the babies, and breed them back to see.

normals come in a HUGE variety of patterns and light/darkness

and the snake in the photos is NOT a pastel. just to clarify..

:iagree: It's a pretty BP, but I don't think it's anything more than a nice normal. If you decide to find out for sure (by breeding it) then good luck. Could get lucky!! :D

Well darn,those goes my diamond in the rough theory. XD
Oh well though,the one i have at home is a beauty and it going to be a nice breeder once i get a male to pair with her and shes up to size. :3

Thank you for the information, I am glad to know since I am still learning a lot. My future plans are probably not heading toward a lot of bp's, but there are several morphs that are just so striking. It would be great to grab him up, but I am not sure my boyfriend would be too thrilled since I am still easing him into this whole 'snake thing'. :dgrin:

Thank you again for the insight.
