    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Prompting Ovulation?

I currently have a 11 month female weighing in at 85 g who refuses to ovulate! I have tried introducing males, an increase in heat, and lighting more hours a day to fake "spring" :no01: , is there any thing else I could possibly do?

I do realize being 11 months there is a chance she isn't sexually developed yet but at 85 grams I figured it was worth a try. Any ideas?
 
When my second year breeders decided they want to wait, I reduced the lighting for about a week or so, then I took it back up. That started them up.

But since your girl is only 11 months maybe she isn't ready. I've had them start ovulating at 8 months, but I don't know when the latest it can be.
 
Yea I know theres the possibilty she may just not want to cooperate, but I'll try the tips and see what I can get her to do! Thanks guys!
 
Do females tend not to eat when theyre ovulating? One of my geckos is ovulating and she stopped eating and its annoying me cuz im saving her to breed.
Its not like shes lost any weight, so i dont think its a super serious problem.
