In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi everyone,

Have you ever wondered what everyone thinks of a particular morph? I wondered this myself and finally decided to find out. I've made a ratings system for ball python morphs called "P3 Alpha Ratings" based on Pigmentation, Pattern, and (combo) Potential to gather everyone's thoughts.

Right now there are 20 morphs that you can rate. Please click the link below for more info and rating forms:

P3 Alpha Ratings - PhD Exotics

Those that participate will get special discounts and email notifications.

Once I gather enough ratings I will publish results. Should be fun and interesting to see who the 'alpha' morph is.

Thanks in advance for your participation!

Here are the number of ratings so far:

Group 1: 41
Group 2: 16
Group 3: 16
Group 4: 15
Group 5: 11

There needs to be at least 30 ratings for each group in order to publish good results.

Please submit your ratings ONCE per group.

If you haven't rated yet, please take a little time to do so: P3 Alpha Ratings - PhD Exotics

Thanks

Sorry, didn't realize there was 5 groups haha. Added my votes for 2-5. From what I can remember in my grading, Banana/CG is my highest base morph, clown is my highest all around.

Hi Tristan. One source of possible error I have identified is rating animals that have super forms. For example, some single-gene orange dreams really don't do much for me, but the super orange dreams are awesome animals. Maybe be a little clearer that we're supposed to be rating heterozygous or homozygous forms?

Also, in true survey design fashion, you may want to improve your Likert scaling in the future. A scale of 1-4 is not very effective at teasing apart preferences. In literature, people are switching to a Likert scale of 1-10, with 10 being exceptional and 1 being blah.

Geh, I know way too much about survey design and analysis. x_x It was part of my post doc.

Hi Vanessa,

Thank you for your input and advice. The morphs being rated are in single gene form and combos (such as super forms) come into play in the third question for ratings for combo potential.

I will definitely consider the 1-10 system. Your input is always valued!

Thanks again!
