    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I don't know if this is new or not but I'm using puppy pads in my 28 qt. Tubs and I love them. They have a plastic lining on the bottom and a soft padded top. They fit in my tubs perfect going up on all sides and nothing leaks through them. So when they get soiled just wrap them up like a diaper and the tub is clean! If you are using newspaper or paper towels the urine and feces soaks through and the tub needs to be washed every time and will smell. Just thought I'd share yoou can get a hundred for 15 bucks at petsmart so its about 15. Cents each.

**if you found this post helpful pm me and ill give you my address where you can send me a female lesser :) **

Maybe for 1 or 2 snakes but it wouldn't be very cost effective with a larger collection.

puppy pads X 20 snakes = $3(20 X .15) two times a week or about $25 bucks a month
Paper towels X 20 snakes = one 8 pack of brawny paper towels @ $7 a month

I wouldn't use them because we've all seen snakes miss a strike and get a bit of bedding in their mouth at times. What happens when a snake catches a bit of the puppy pad? With all the backward facing teeth, they tend to have to swallow whatever it is, and then you got major issues.

I know of a giant(burm? Retic?) that once ate a electric blanket becuase it couldn't turn it loose and couldn't regurge it because the fibers all hang up on the teeth. It required surgery and I can't remember if it survived or not.

Plus, newspaper is free and if you give a good wipe down of the bin, you've cleaned it and deodorized it without having to 'wash' it.

pee pads

Hey Karl,
I thought about that also but some pads if not all have a chemical smell that attracts the puppies to the pad so they pee on that instead of the floor. I just didn't want to take any chances it is probably not harnful but who knows they are designed for dogs.
Take care John:)

Very good points. I have a small collection so I don't take my eyes of my Snakes while feeding but the chemical point bothers me and I will look fniurther into that.
