In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I just delivered these on Sunday night / Saturday morning. Molly (mom-sable merle Shetland sheepdog) was NOT having an easy time with her first litter. She was having "false starts" in delivery for 5-6 days before finally having them. Molly is one of our puppies from 5 years ago, and owned by a nice minister lady in town. Unfortunately she fell off a horse and broke some ribs and vertebrae or something, so my mom was bitch-sitting and I was on-call. Few, if any, would have made it without an assisted delivery. Ever seen someone give mouth-to-snout resuscitation to a puppy covered in afterbirth? lol There were 2.5 total: 2 tri-colors, 2 sable merles, 2 blue merles and one mahogany.

Here's 6 of the 7 pups (all survived, the last one just decided to take her sweet time)

Here's Molly with 4 of them on day 2. Molly doesn't have enough functioning "faucets" for all of them to eat at once, so we have to rotate.

...and I guess if you can't find a faucet, a finger will just have to do:

Now how many human moms are this dedicated to cleanliness? (She's licking their butts)

All together now: AWWWWWW!!!

AWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!! Great pics, Paul!!!

Done the mouth-to-snout thing before....think I'd rather do that than give mouth to mouth to a lot of people I know, lmao!!!

That is a very good point... and very true.

OMG they are soo dang cute, I really miss having litters of puppies tearing up the house, the kids do it now but man the pups were so much better at shreading things lol

Will you be selling any of them? I wish I was closer we are looking for a pup for Cody around the first of the year when we get our tax refund!

Wow. Beautiful pups! And your story only confirmed my belief that you're a very special person, Paul. Its nice when you can be there to help and its even nicer making it a point to be there should help be needed.

I've never had to do mouth to snout for any puppies, thank god, but I once did chest compressions on a really nice looking chick. ;)

Technically, the pups don't belong to us and I'm not sure how many the owner has spoken for. I know the stud owner wants pick of the litter, and I believe one of her friends wants the mahogany male. Considering that my mom has been sleeping on the concrete floor of her shed/kennel for almost 2 weeks now (and will have to continue to do so for a while) the owner has offerred her a pup or two. The owner was also quite impressed at how much I knew about the whole process, and very appreciative of my help and offerred me one too--especially considering how much I have spent on gas alone making the 90 mile round trip (6 so far) just so that I can kick my mom out of the shed and make her go sleep in her BED for a few hours... lol. Anyway, my mom's the "sheltie nut" and told me which one "I" would be keeping.

Aw, those are awesome Marcia! (it took me a second to realize that was TWO of them in the second photo! lol)
Before we got our first sheltie, we had the breed we wanted narrowed down to either shelties or mini shnauzies based on recommendations by a vet friend of ours.

AWWWWWWWW....dem's de teensy weensy shuggy wuggy cutie pies!!!!!! :)

Ok, I'm not really a cute cuddly kinda guy but since I have become a father I have found a soft side I guess. So ....... AAAWWWWWW. Very cool Paul. Not to mention, who in their right mind could not just love puppies. LOL

2 1/2 Weeks (approx.)

These pictures are actually from a week or so ago. It's amazing how fast these guys grow.

They're already play fighting with each other and mom.

I thought this was the funniest picture. Just look at the expression on Molly's face! I think she's ready to start weaning them already...

...or just nurse standing up. :dgrin:

Furballs!

Paul-

Those are such pretty little balls of fur! I love the nursing standing up pic! Such beautiful babies!

Once again.....AWWWWWWWWW!!!! :)

THey are adorable, especially the merles.....always had a soft spot for them, lol.

They're adorable little puppies. I'm glad you and your mom will get a couple of them. Molly looks like she can't wait to have those babies out of the house!

Thanks everyone!

Well my mom has the flu so I had to go back home to do the dog chores today, so I took a few more pictures. These are at exactly 4 weeks (minus a few hours).
