    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have seen from time to time people have balls that have paradox in them. Can someone explain how the paradox "gene" works if you want to call it that. Is it something that is pasted on from generation to generation or does it just show up randomly? Are you more likely to hatch a paradox out if one of the parents have it? I've just seen a few browsing over the net and it seems like its just a once in awhile thing. I'm just curious about it and would appreciate to hear what everyone knows about it.

A 'paradox' from what I understand is a chimera, which means it actually has two sets of DNA (this happens in humans too), it gets two sets by starting out as twins and then one zygote engulfs the other before the cells have differentiated and so rather than turning into conjoined twins, you end up with one animal with two sets of DNA.

Here is wikipedia on chimera: Tetragametic chimerism is a form of congenital chimerism. This condition occurs through the fertilization of two separate ova by two sperm, followed by the fusion of the two at the blastocyst or zygote stages. This results in the development of an organism with intermingled cell lines. Put another way, the chimera is formed from the merging of two nonidentical twins in a very early (zygote or blastocyst) phase. As such, they can be male, female, or hermaphroditic.

As the organism develops, it can come to possess organs that have different sets of chromosomes. For example, the chimera may have a liver composed of cells with one set of chromosomes and have a kidney composed of cells with a second set of chromosomes. This has occurred in humans, and at one time was thought to be extremely rare, though more recent evidence suggests that it is not as rare as previously believed

As said its just something that happens every once in awhile. Its random. I think the paradox is neat, one of my morphs happens to be have a paradox spot on him.

Some paradoxes will throw babies that look like them, like ringers. Sometimes they have a few babies with ringers, some don't do much as far as producing more like themselves. I've heard that some paradoxes have a parent with a patch or two of paradox!
