    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I read that Geckos are supposed to be feed 7 to 10 Crcickets very day. Mine is a juvenille, and he eats 3 to 4 to 5 every nite. It just depends. We feed him until he won't eat anymore, and thats his average. Is this ok???

As long as he is eating something and not losing weight, I wouldn't worry about it. The 7-10 a day is kind of just a guideline to go by not a definite.

A better guideline would be as much as it's willing to eat in 15 - 20 minutes a day. Because food items can vary in size so much, the number they'll eat will vary. Monitor your geckos weight. If your gecko is young and still gaining, everything is fine. In an adult, you're usually just looking to maintain weight.

Also make sure of course that the prey items he or she is eating are well gut-loaded with quality whole foods. This will make a huge difference on his well being.

Thank You everybody! Kenedergirl, our Anole gets the small ones, and Gex gets the big ones. I like how you brought that up. Sometimes he gets ones with wings. They can't fly but they grow wings. I never knew that. My Fiancee and I researched having him to, and missed the weighing him part. Oops. I guess we will be buying a scale next time we go to the Pet Store.

It's not totally neccesary to have a scale, but it can be a very good indicator as to how well your gecko is doing.
