    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

...ok, I know that being a Leo owner I should probably already know the answer...but I am fairly new to these guys and don't really know. I was reading a post that was talking about Crypto...What is this exactly? I've never heard of it before, and I know its something I should probably know about
 
Cryptosporidium is a protozoan parasite that is fatal to most lizards and snakes. The cysts are extremely difficult to kill because it resists chlorine and iodine. Boiling or burning seems to kill it though.

Symptoms in leopard geckos include unwillingness to eat, vomiting, watery green and very stinky poo, bloated gut, and slow wasting away.

Crypto can also be spread to humans and other animals, and other animals also act as hosts for crypto. If anything, crypto is one of the reasons to wash your hands very thoroughly BEFORE and after handling reptiles.
 
I've heard of the 'cure', but I've never heard of a single actual case in which it was proven to help, so as far as I'm concerned it's just talk until I see some evidence.
 
Tremper said in his book that Alinia reduced and eliminated crypto in his animals, but as you said, there have been no true clinical studies as of yet.
