    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hey all it's been a long time since I've posted last. I now have eggs in my incubator :). I was wondering a few questions. Approximately how often do leo's lay their clutches? I was also wondering on perlite. I weighed it out and used .8 water to 1 perlite. I dont havent noticed any dew build up is this normal? much thanks. Chris.

That is the same method I use. Bt I do check the moisture level weekly by feeling the perlite and spraying as needed. It is something you'll learn to do with your eyes closed.

I had one female lay every ten days. Others it can be 3 weeks in between laying. Each female is different.

i have one female that lays every 15 days..one that lays every 20 days..one that lays every 19 days..it can vary between females, it usually takes the same amount of time as it did for the fmale to lay the first clutch, from when they are bred, to the day they lay, at least thats how my females did it for 2 years..

if your using the .8 parts water by 1 part perlite method you should have a problem with moisture of humididty, i havent had to re moisten the container all the eggs are in since the first eggs came on 1/7, those eggs should hatch in 5 days, i have seen the baby actually shift in the egg when candleing so obviously the egg is healthy.
 
Just a follow up question, I know its shameful even to ask a dumb question....but, I know i read it somewhere just cant remember where.... but once a female has bred, will that be good enough for the entire season?

I am new and learning, not to mention i have a lot of reptile projects going... :rotflmao: so Ive just been trying to keep up with cleaning and feeding, I forgot this goofy question.
 
it really depends on the female, if she is a first time breeder, she may lay only 1 -3 clutches, if she is on her 2nd-3rd season and well over about..75 grams it is very possible for her to go whole season.
 
It is possible, as they store sperm. So the male is only needed once. Then he is kinda useless...hahaha
If you do notice that she stops laying re-introduce her!
