In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Here are some pictures of a few 2006 babies. All are at least Het Raptor. The first two are RAPTORs with two perfectly red eyes. The second is a Snake Eyed RAPTOR and the rest are RAPTOR Hets.

Thanks for looking

These are the first of many Jungle Giants that are Het for RAPTOR. This season's going pretty good so far!

I would be hardpressed to find a favorite out of all of those! They are awesome! Great looking little ones! Keep the pictures coming.

Congrats Matt!!! Those are incredible. I can't get over the color on the one in the 5th pic from the top. Great job!

Matt, They are all amazing looking...But I have a soft spot for giants soooo if I had to choose it would be the giants. Great looking animals. Keep those pics coming.

They're all super, Matt. I personally like the complex aberrant patterned ones most. You'll have some tough decisions to make - which ones stay and which ones go. What great start to your season !

Great babies, Matt!

Have you found the gene to act like a simple recessive?

L4L, Still have to raise them up, and breed them to be able to tell :) There has not been enough breeding done with the Red-eye gene, outside of RT`s animals, to say one way or the other. I think the only thing anyone can say about it at this point is that, yes they hatched what they were supposed to hatch from 'hets'. In my case it was het X het, last year. These breedings all came from Rons geckos though.

There are only a few people who have outcrossed 'hets' that are ready to breed. Those being the few that hatched RAPTORs, from last years APTORs. I think the real test will be the outcomes from last years APTOR crosses, and this years RAPTOR crosses.

Thanks everyone, yes the gene appears to be simple recessive. The only one I'm getting RAPTORS from is my Het Raptor female. I'll keep a few of the jungle giant babies and breed them back to the RAPTOR male. I also have a female from Marcia that I'm getting a lot of babies from, so I'll keep one of her daughters and breed it back to my RAPTOR male too.

Thanks again!!!

Beautiful geckos, Matt! I'm so impressed with how far Tremper Albinos have come in 6-7 years. You're doing great work with them.

Here's a (potentially controversial) question....if you keep a RAPTOR/APTOR too cool, will they develop any brown on their bodies?

Keep the pics coming.

:slamit: Wow,those jungle giants are BEAUTIFUL

All these hatchling threads are making me want to breed leopard geckos even more

I believe they would turn brown, but maybe not..... These geckos where all incubated at 85 degrees at all times and they still came out with good colors. My rack is set to one temperature, so I don't really want to lower the temps and run the risk of all my geckos turning brown. I'll post something later though, that shows that it seems that genetics are the main influence on the colors.

Thanks Again!
