In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Okay I have an albino-raptor question. I know very little about raptors except that they have red eyes. Well I saw a gecko for sale advertised as an albino. She's got beautiful color and she has red eyes. Now I remember a guy buying what the seller thought was an albino and it turned out to be a raptor. So are there strains of albinos with red eyes or is this person mistaken and it is really raptor? I am really curious about it and appreciate any help.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

I believe that the Bell strain of albino has the redest eyes of all the strains of albino. However they are not solid red. Raptors have solid red eyes because their eyes are an albino form of the eclipse morph. The eclipse morph is a mutation that causes solid colored eyes, black in normal leos and red in albinos.

If the picture was taken when the leo's eyes were dilated then they could also appear solid red due to the large size of the pupil. However in normal room light the pupils would be smaller and would appear more reddish gold.

Thanks alot that helps me. This leo I saw in person but it wasn't like an eclipse red so it must be a bell albino. It still had a black pupil but beautiful red eyes. I tell ya, it was a beauty! If I had room for another ......... "sigh"

Stephanie, if you can see the pupil it is just the eye of a normal Albino. Both Trempers, and Bells can have red veining in the eyes, and look fairly red/pink without being "solid" eyed like the Raptors.

Check out this picture, you can kind of see. She is a "snake eyed" Raptor BTW. If you look on the left half, it is a tannish, greyish color w/ red veining. The right half is a dark cherry red, and pretty much solid. When you look at your geckos usually you see just a tiny slit down the center, that is the pupil of course. On these you cant really see the pupil so easily because the right side matches it.

If that makes sense, I hope.

This one shows just that. It is just the pupil wide open.

Thanks guys I guess I just had a blonde moment and wasn't thinking about the Raptor's eyes being solid red with no pupil. I did see this gecko in person so I know it had a pupil. Geckos are just the coolest thing ever ! lol

Well RAPTORs still have pupils you just can see them as the iris of the eye is the same color and they blend right in. However if the angle of the flash is just right you can see the outline of the pupils in the RAPTORS.
