In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Hi there.I just wanted to say that I am dealing with Rebecca now,and I have only been happy with her.She has always been friendly towards me.Whenever I write to her she responds, and responds quickly to anything I ask or say.I believe that she cares both about the animals under her care,as well as the satisfaction of her customers.I would do business with her again.

Rebecca, ignore the jealous idiots.

You may well have made some newbie mistakes, but you have done right so far as I can see and trust me, if I thought you hadn't, I might just have a few thousand words to say about it.

As for the rest of you canuks, you should be ashamed of yourselves.

If you really want to pick on someone, how about Mr. Leverton, ahhahahahah, or, even better, myself?

Some real, hmmmmm, wanted to say asshats here, but I'm trying to keep my image shiney, so I'll refrain. I'm thinking it REAL hard though.

I just also wanted to say that I have delt with Rebecca and that I am satisfied. She was great to deal with, and I look foward to dealing with her again!

It’s good to see that all of the people she has done business with are satisfied with their transactions.

Well since my name was mentioned, I feel obligated to say a few words.

My deal with Rebecca was perfectly fine. She paid for snakes over the weekend and I shipped them out Tuesday night for Wed delivery in Washington.

I informed her in our original PM's/emails that 7 of the 11 that I sold to her had eaten two meals, and none of those had refused. I had originally placed an AD on cornsnakes.com for sale forum with those snakes saying with one more meal I'd let them go. She wanted all, so we made a deal.

I also told her that there were 4 that had no eaten yet, a few of which had refused, but some had not been offered food. These snakes hatched out around July 20th or thereabouts and then were shipped to CT ahead of me since I moved from FL. Anyway, I didn't get those snakes back until Aug 3rd and only had tried feeding them twice. A few were never offered.

My main concern was the fact that all of the snakes were sexed when they were sent to her, and her updated for sale ad showed new anerys and snows in the exact sex ratio of what she was sold. I also included a dinky 3.3 gram snow female that I almost froze because I couldn't get it to eat---that snake was a freebie to see if she could get it feeding.

Here's my sale ad: http://www.cornsnakes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38729

The cornsnakes.com ad that Rebecca had was deleted so she could specifically list where she had gotten the snakes from, etc etc.

In any event, my concern was that I did not want non-feeders being sold to people with my biz name on them. Obviously, if that happened and those snakes ended up dying, that would reflect very poorly on me, because I would never sell non-feeding snakes without properly advertising that.

Those snakes are Rebecca's now, and she can do as she wishes with them. She has said that she will feed the non-feeders and will not sell them unless they have had 3 meals in other posts, so I'm sure that applies here as well.

She had taken down her ad to correct the issues that arose and that is about all she can do. It shows there was no malicious attempt to deceive or anything of the sort, and imo, she's done all she can to rectify this problem.

To finalize this, I had no problems with Rebecca as a buyer. I only voiced concern about the snakes being listed for sale as I saw it might become a problem because of the non-feeder/biz name issue. The deal went smooth and I had no problems whatsoever.

We have inquired about Rebecca on the Canadian BOI ( see post here: http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=84236 ) and now I see her on here as well.

Since she claims to have dealt with several US breeders, I would like to hear your input on her please. How was she to deal with, any problems or good things to say about her?

Several of the Canadian cornsnake breeders, have been wonderring about her due to her recent posts on both cornsnakes.com and reptilescanada.com . Just looking for honest opinions of her, as well as detailed accounts of any transactions with her, whether they be good or bad transactions.

TIA

Didn't work did it,eh ? Sorta blew up in your face, didn't it,eh? :raspberry ,eh

I mean, is that really necessary?

For 'mocking' someone about not being mature, jealous, etc....you're not exactly showing a very high maturity level yourself....

Good luck Rebecca, you'll be fine as long as you do the right thing. and from what I can see you are trying....

Rebecca

Has anyone told Rebecca about this thread, I have noticed she hasnt posted anything, does she have a web site? Thanks

I let Rececca know as soon as I saw them (both here & the Canadian one). She doesn't want to get into a pissing match with anyone, which is why she hasn't posted. I will recommend that she posts. Also, she does not have a website at this moment.

good

What blew up in my face? I made an inquiry and got it answered. One person posted on the CBOI, and I saw the post here and added to it, in hopes of more people voicing how their transactions went. There's been more responses from people who have dealt with Rebecca from buying from her as well as selling to her. I'd say it was a successful inquiry. The original Inquiry has thrown out a lot of different opinions, and several people who have actually dealt with her personally. :)

Christina you asked questions about her but not for the right reasons and everyone who reads this thread will see that. Now how about answering a question yourself you said
''Several of the Canadian cornsnake breeders, have been wonderring about her due to her recent posts on both cornsnakes.com and reptilescanada.com . ''

Now lets see the names of these concerned breeders?? Randy

Hello all!! :) :)

Well, my name is Rebecca, I live near Vancouver BC Canada, I've been in the pet industry for about 12 years, many of these years I was managing the reptile sections of two stores. Thankfully both of my stores were of the specialty high end sort, so we made sure the staff was educated as possible and we did our best to ensure proper care, as well as keep updated as possible on new information coming out.

Recently I decided to switch careers :) I am now a Vet receptionist/tech who maybe hopes to go to school to become a REGISTERED tech! I ADORE this job but missed my reptile life too much. A while ago I got a friend into the beginnings of a snake breeding business. His true love is the ball python and all morphs of them, however he was constantly being asked to supply different snakes and reptiles to stores and the general public. In BC many wholesaler have gotten out of the business due to the difficulty of actually doing it as a job full time, there was just not enough money.. So he and I are working together to create a business we hope will be viable enough for me to work at at least as a part time employee. We of course have big plans for the future, but don't want to talk about it too much as we may JINX ourselves!! :) lol

Yet I digress... During my reptile career I was always frustrated as a buyer. There were just no different morphs available to the pet stores for decent prices. We had to at least DOUBLE the cost of the snake which meant even normals had to go for about $100. I feel that more people could see all the benefits of cornsnakes if the initial costs weren't quite so daunting. Also I feel that corns can be a bit like fish. Often once you have one, you are often interested in getting other morphs, then you realize how interesting breeding can become.. If these other morphs are ridiculously expensive it may disconcert or dissuade possible new hobbyists.

My plan is to build breeding stock of many different colour morphs then offer them to different hobbyists for the fair market value of the U.S. I will also offer to pet stores at reasonable prices for them to FAIRLY mark up. At this point I am now importing many snakes from popular high quality American breeders. I prefer the bloods and their morphs from Rich Hume. I would love to get some Kathy Love or Abbott okeetees and reverse okeetees, I hope to get some Miamis and crimsons from Carol <although I was very impressed with Serpencos this year!> From Serpenco I have gotten butters, caramel, butter motleys, etc. Anyway, this is the plan!

I don't have a website yet, but am hoping to take a local course on how to build and maintain one. At this point the costs of other people making sites is just too much, as so far I have been investing every penny I have <and don't have> into importing snakes. :) I may have to take a giant slow down soon if things don't pick up, but we'll just deal with that as time goes by!

Well, that's about all I have to say, I'm glad that this site is here to let people who deal with me let others know about how I am to work with. I REALLY want to build a GREAT reputation and work with other high quality and important Canadian breeders! LET'S GET THOSE MORPHS UP HERE GUYS!!!

Sorry this was ridiculously long, but just so everyone knows, I am glad that people are now realizing that I'm not all bad, or out there to rip people off. I'm too naive and probably dumb <yes I'm blonde> It just takes too much effort to be an evil bad guy! lol

THANKS FOR ALL THE PEOPLE WHO WROTE KIND SUPPORTIVE WORDS TO ME!!!

Sincerely,
Rebecca
