    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I'm dying to get a good recipe for snickerdoodles! I love 'em, and my wife has no idea what to do to make 'em from scratch. HELP! :)

Here's my lazy man's snickerdoodle recipe:

Go to the store, buy a tube of the Pillsbury sugar cookie dough. Bring that home, cut into pieces and roll so you have 1" balls. Mix two parts cinnamon to 1 part sugar in a small bowl, and roll the balls in the mix. Place on cookie sheet and bake per instructions on the cookie dough package.

Come out perfect every time. :rofl:

Ingredients:

* 1 cup butter
* 1 1/2 cups white sugar
* 2 x eggs
* 1 tbsp vanilla extract
* 1 tbsp corn syrup
* 3 cups flour
* 1 tsp baking powder
* 1 tsp baking soda
* 1/4 tsp salt
* 1/4 cups more of white sugar
* 2 tbsp cinnamon

Directions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees.
2. Whip the butter and first sugar in a stand mixer until light and fluffy and then add the eggs, one at a time. Add the vanilla and corn syrup and continue to beat until the batter is smooth.
3. Meanwhile, in a separate bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Add to the butter and egg mixture and continue mixing until well combined.
4. Whisk the remaining white sugar and cinnamon together. Scoop up some of the dough with a spoon then using your hands roll it into a ball. Roll balls in the cinnamon sugar to coat then place on a parchment or silicon lined baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between cookies. Lightly flatten the balls with your fingertips.
5. Bake for 12 minutes.
