In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Redneck Reptiles in Nv???

The thing I find odd is that, like I said before, he's signed up for the NARBC show in 4 weeks, which is a high-profile show, and not a show that a "hidden scammer" would want to be at standing in a booth.... Booths are relatively expensive there, and people fly in from all over, seems like if he was going to rip you off, he'd stay more low key.... If all else fails, though, just unleash Ken Foose on him LOL.

Update for everybody,

I'm not sure if anybody went knocking on doors, but I got an email from Myles saying that he put the money in paypal today and called paypal to have them refund me the money asap. He said I should have the money in 3 days or so. I'll see what happens, but I'm not sure why his change of heart. His last email to me was a couple of day ago saying he was going to file charges against me for harrassment....(from my emailing him asking for my money back). He then said he wouldn't communicate with me anymore and I was out of luck....Don't know what made him change his mind...

If the money doesn't show, I might unleash Ken...LOL

Thanks
Joe Russell

I am going to be at the NARBC Show in Anaheim next month, it would be interesting to meet these guys. Any special messages I can give them just let me know.

I have been reading up a little on past Rainwater BOI and learning about their great methods of business, I am curious as to how I can accumulate over 40 designer and morph BPs as they have and end up with over 500 BPs currently in only 2 years, I already have 13 so I think I am starting out better then they did. Any help in accomplishing this would be greatly appreciated. I take money gifts, donations, and whatever else you have in your wallets, yes I also take credit cards and I do accept Paypal.

Thanks

I'm kinda new to the many different morph of ball pythons and im curious what kind of morph did he send you? i cant tell the difference between stonwash and regular pastel
I like the yellow it has and may be in the market for some in the future
and dont want to sound to ignorant when inquiring ...lol

Hey

The stonewash is from the Stan Ruppel (spelling) line. There is also the Lemon and Graziani just to name a couple. I paid for but didn't get the snake from this seller *Myles* and now I'm fighting to get my money back from him. That is why I posted this, to warn others about this guy.

I am by no means an expert on balls, just a hobbiest.

Thanks
Joe Russell

He didn't receive a snake.

We agreed on a shipping date of Aug 8. No red flags until the arrival date (tuesday) came and went. After 3 emails to Myles, I got a resonse from him saying he forgot. I started to get worried, so asked for a refund back. Usuaslly you don't forget a $2550 snake. And if you do, you inform the person expecting the snake a little earlier then the day after it is due to arrive.

Well, it looks like I may be at the show in Anaheim and if I'm not there I will be in Vegas in the next few weeks. I'd be happy to stop by and say "hi" for you.

Also, if he put the funds in his account for paypal to pay you then the transfer is pretty much instantanious. At least that's the way mine works. I authorize payment and the money is sucked right out of my bank account. If I transfer funds right into my paypal account then, once again, it's an instantanious transfer.

Get him to send you verification. If he can't or won't it's probably because he's lying to you.

Good luck.

I had a long talk with Myles today at my place. He was very unhappy about the way he was being represented, and decided to track me down before I tried to track him down. This alone impressed me. He wanted to personaly let me know that he was not trying to rip anyone off, and offered to send me the emails back and forth between Joe and himself. He sent me the emails, which I now have. After reading through them, and having spoken to him personaly, I would have to say that this was an error on Myles part, plain and simple. There appears to be no thought of ripping anyone off. He made two mistakes, 1) he spent the money before he shipped the snake, and 2) he forgot to ship the snake on the day promised. These are big errors, but casting stones yada yada. I don't think I would forget to ship such an expensive snake on the day I said I would, and if he had, none of this would have happened. As it is, I have to take at face value what he has told me, especially with the content of the emails to back him up. He typed "sorry" many times, and a buch of "I'll make it up to you" also. He offered Joe an additional snake along with the one paid for to make things up to Joe, and Joe declined the offer. He offered to ship the next day, and Joe declined. Now, the money got spent, which he also explained to Joe in the emails ( a lot of I'm sorry again), and since pay pal has frozen his account over the claim Joe made, he has no choice but to send the money to pay pal instead of directly to Joe. It's a mess for sure. I have all the emails here if anyone wants them, as I don't think I know how to post them here, and it's very, very long. So, I'd say that Myles messed up, Joe went off the deep end in response, and has been seeing red ever since. I personally would have gone for the snake I paid for and the extra het to boot, but that's just me. I can also understand Joe being upset, that kind of money would make me crazy also. Now Myles can't send Joe the money until pay pal gets it from him and sends it themselves, and Myles of course can't send the snakes on the risk that Joe won't pay for them. It's sad that this hobby has gotten like this, where two people, most likely both trustworthy have to battle it out for fear of each other ripping the other off. As for the Rainwater connection, indeed, Joe has some association with Tim, and I clearly expressed my feelings about this relationship and about Rainwater. I told him it's only a matter of time before Rainwater messes with him also, but it's not up to me to decide who people should and should not deal with. So, as far as I'm concerned, for what it's worth, Myles will come up with the money as soon as he can, Joe will get his money back, and hopefully everyone will be happy again. Joe, it's a shame though, you should have gone for what you paid for and the extra het to boot. But I do understand your feelings. Now, everyone whistle a happy tune, and we can move on.

Ken

I'm not sure what you meant by me having a relation with Tim/Rainwater...if I read that correct. Its late. I don't have any, just to clear that up...but I would like to thank you for your mediation. I think you made a good point. This could have been handled differently, but I got spooked when the guy I sent $2550 to declined sending me his contact info. With how this hobby has become over the last couple of years with a lot of scammers...its hard to know who is who.

I hope I am mistaken and Myles is just bad with money. Myles, I'm not sure if you read this, but I hope I was mistaken in your judgement. If so, then I am sorry.

Thank you
Joe Russell

Hey Ken, way to go. I guess. LOL

IF both of these guys really are trustworthy and this really was just a cluster---- then it should be obvious soon enough.

Ken's advice was sound, move on and keep doing good. That was what I got from his HUNDREDTHOUSANDWORDPARAGRAPH.

At least there is no out and out bad guy in this one. So far. I hope.

Wes, I type the same way I talk. This is why I try to avoid posting on here any more then I have to. See ya

So in reading what you said, Ken, there is a bit more to the story than was initially posted. The seller made three mistakes. First, being associated with a known scumbag, though this was unknown to Joe at the time and so was not relevant to the initiation or cancellation of this purchase and sale. Second, Myles "forgot" to ship on the agreed upon date and "forgot" to notify Joe in a timely manner. This raised all kinds of red flags for Joe, understandably so. The third "mistake", if it is a mistake, is spending some or all of the money before shipping the animal. Here some people will disagree, but I don't feel this is in the least bit unethical if he intended to ship the animal in question. How people capitalize their businesses and manage their cash flow varies from business to business. As long as Myles honestly represented the animal and planned to deliver it as promised then it was his money to spend. What if the seller had said "I can't receive the snake for a month because I am going on vacation"? Should Myles have tied up the snake and the money for that month? I don't think so.

What we weren't told initially were the other two sides of the story, Myles' side and the truth. It seems Myles was more than apologetic for what may have been an honest oversight and even offered an additional snake as compensation. Joe wanted none of this, but never mentioned it in his initial or subsequent posts. Then a complaint was filed with PayPal which froze the account, and as we know from two recent threads, that makes it impossible to even add funds to the account without sending money directly to PayPal.

So...yes, Myles screwed up by not shipping. Joe may have overreacted just a bit and jumped the gun on filing a PayPal complaint, and now the errors are being resolved.

Summary

So let me get this straight...

1. Redneck Reptiles is a 100% legitimate business.

2. Redneck Reptiles made an honest mistake in not shipping on time.

3. Redneck Reptiles made a good faith effort to resolve the situation.

4. Redneck Reptiles refused to give any contact information.

5. Redneck Reptiles was associated in the past with a known criminal.

Everything sounds fair and good except for the last two statements. Is this true? Did Redneck Reptiles really refuse to give any contact information? Did Redneck Reptiles knowingly do business with a criminal?

Confused,

Actually, as to number 4, there was contact information, a cell phone and an e-mail address. However, the buyer wanted a physical address or alternate contact information and was not given it. As for number 5, yes the seller is currently in business with a felonious scumbag according to what has been verified by Ken. However, if his intent was not to defraud the buyer that is not really relevant to anything but the seller's poor judgement.

Yes, I tend to agree. Joe did leave out some rather important information in his posts. He did not mention that Myles offered an additional snake to make up for the mistake. That's not really an issue now. I don't feel there was any harm meant by either party. As for Myles not giving up his home address, under normal conditions I would not either. If Myles has as many high end pythons sitting in his house as he says he does, there is no way anyone would know where I live. In fact, although I have a store open to the public, and anyone can come on by any day they want, there is no way I'm giving my home information out to anyone either. I have about $200,000 worth of herps in my house, and Myles appears to have many times more then that in his. I don't blame him at all. In fact, I'll just say I don't blame anyone here, it was a bad misunderstanding, and we should just let them work it through the system and let it be. As far as the Rainwater connection, that's Myles choice, not ours. It is also the buyers choice whether to do business with Myles because of this connection or not. Myles is ok in my book, and so is Joe, even if he left out some important communication information between himself and the seller. Such is life.

Whew! I'm glad everything is okay. I'd hate for a person's good name to be accidentally trashed because of a simple misunderstanding. That would suck.

Crystal Clear,
Chris
