In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

One more dumb question, I hope it's just the one, for today.

Well actually two. Why are the rep points I see in my user cp different than the one I see when I post?

What do purple squares mean? I get that the red ones are not agreeing and all the green ones are agreeing, have the purple ones simply not made up their minds yet?

The rep power you see next to the green squares is the power you have to change someone else’s reputation. Example – You have a rep power of 50. If you give someone reputation and agree with them, they will have a reputation 50 points higher. Now if you disapprove their reputation goes down 50.

I would assume the grey dots are neutral. This means that the person that’s adding to your reputation doesn’t have any rep power. They’re obviously giving you a green dot (for agreeing) and since they have no rep power it become neutral.

Hopefully all this makes sense…

I just noticed that there are only ten feedbacks viewable at a time. Are the others stored and available someplace?

The first part is correct. The second I think isn't. I think the grey squares are from people who don't have any points to give or take. When adding to someone's rep there is only 2 choices; I agree or I disagree.

I can't seem to find anywhere to view my reputation. Maybe I don't have one? Should it just show up in user cp?

It will show up in User CP on the main window (middle).

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like you have any rep points at this time so there is nothing to show. Once you start receiving them you'll notice the list there.

Also, as you are not a contributing member, you will only be able to see the amount of rep points you have and not be able to see who left them to you.

If you click on the symbol (bottom left hand corner of any post you have made) between the green circle and the triangle with the ! it will show you what points you have. Everyone starts off with 10 points.

Problem is....there is no triangle with the ! on your own post. I guess the folks that made this software didn't feel it necessary to allow users to report their own posts as bad posts. :D

But I think he'll know what you mean!

There are a few out there who probably would tell on themselves.

Thanks alot guys. I figured I just didn't have anything to look at. Uhhh.... ya I think I said that right...LOL
' sniff ' nobody loves me ' sniff '

Man, I took all this time to make a little chart for my personal references............."spectacualr aura" was 250+ points, "little shameless behavior in past" was -(negative)10 or less, etc. and I get back from my vacation and find that now it just straight out tells you "between 50 and 99 points or something.

Anyway a related question, when I put the cursor over my rep area it says "between 50 and 99" I think or something there abouts, but when I go into my user CP it says you have 149 points. Anyone know why there is a difference?

I think the next one is 150+ and you are just shy of that at 149. Why there is a gap between 99-149 I don't know.

Duh! Probably because I do way too much of this stuff late at night when most of my brain cells have already fallen asleep on me. :slamit:
