I noticed a little icon below my name that looks like a set of scales. When I clicked on it, it said I had a bunch of 'reputation' points.
After some investigation, I found that almost everyone now has these icons, and you can add to someone's reputation by clicking on a post of theirs. (So I promptly added points to some of the many folks on Fauna whose writing and ideas I respect.)
I looked around the forum and could not find any central data center that would tell me why I had gathered points. Possibilities:
1) public approval of my posts?
2) perhaps we are all gifted with points to begin with?
If these are general starting points I hope to add to them; I do some professional writing now and I take time and effort to make my posts here on Fauna interesting, entertaining and informative.
If, however, any of my readers added points when they reviewed and approved my posts; thank you, I appreciate you.
