Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them.     Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

So I was searching through the net looking for ways to tell a retics lineage(mainland or island) and I stumbled across a page with some interesting stuff like a way to tell locale by scale count and head scale pattern

The problem with this, is that most animals now have been inter-bred, and not many pure dwarf or pure mainlands around anymore. Also, there are thought to be many island "dwarf" locales and "mainlands. Take Bali, it is an island locale, but gets 20 feet. I think you can get an idea (mostly if you receive a wc imported and you dont get paperwork for where it was caught, you can do head scale count and get a good idea). As far as cbb animals, I think its obsolete and unreliable to go by that. You just have to go be the reputable breeder and their paperwork on what you are getting.
 
Yes and I completely understand that and with out the ability to DNA test you can't get real answers which sucks
