The new protocol that Lucille outlined was established by Rich. It has not been used because of a disagreement, but rather a gross abuse of posting privileges here. I believe it is in the paradigm shift thread in the feedback forum. Alan went over the top, as did Greg Holland, who was the first recipient of this new twist.

I get that part. What I don't know, and maybe it doesn't matter...did Alan offer to sell him the information. I know he offered him the information(he admitted to that), but at what price? Did he ask if Jeff wanted to buy information? Did he ask Jeff if he wanted the information, and when Jeff said no, decided he probably shouldn't bring up that it was for sale? I mean who wants to buy something that they don't need even if it's free? I just wonder if Alan ever attempted to sell information to Jeff, or if it was just mentioned in the email sent to me?

I don't recall seeing that but if that is indeed a new protocol for the way things are going to be around here...... Then there is going to be a huge upsurge of BOI posts. Everytime someone gets their feelings hurt we are going to see a new BOI thread or post about it. Not a step in the right direction in my opinion. Getting your feelings hurt has little to do with facts or truth most of the time. Not something I thought the BOI allowed.

Alan, I believe that anyone can do it. Since they were under heavy attack recently, and Rich was looking for a more effective way to address such things, he and Lucille seemed to have the first opportunity. Allen and Greg more than met the suggested criteria. I am off to get some rest, but all Good Guy (or Bad Guy) threads in this site are able to be resurrected by any member at any time anyway, to make a fresh post or add a quote.

Alan was put thru the fire for his joking around about what he could get with the information he obtained from the admin forum. It never yielded him anything.

You joked around in your little he man Jeff haters club about how adding an s to a domain name might get you some added traffic, and a bonus sensation of that it would raise the ire of your competitor. It never yielded you anything.

Plenty of people here can read what Alan did and find every nefarious motive attributed to human instinct. But God forbid anyone point out the same mannerism in you.

Alan owned up to what he did. Have you? Or maybe that's the reason the lawsuit ended in a whimper.

Let me just ask you directly, Rich: Did you pay money to Jeff B. as part of the agreement to drop the lawsuit? It is being implied that you and Jeff B. both thought you could win the court case, but instead talked it out, each decided that the behavior was harmful to the industry, and decided to drop it. Now, since Jeff B filed it, he was obviously the one to "drop" it. Was there an agreement for you to pay Jeff as part of that, or did you really each agree that it was just silly and not worth pursuing?

For those of you that are going to point to the paperwork that says it was dismissed with prejudice, please note that a dismissal with prejudice only means that it cannot be filed again, not that there was no settlement.

First off, I like your cages. I've seen them at many of the southeastern shows and you have a quality product. Also, when I had my wreck right before one of the shows you were one of the only people who actually gave a crap and helped me with moving what was left of my gear to the show. Thank you for that. You even offered a free cage just because I was down on my luck and not many people do that. I know you can be a good guy when you want so what I do not get is the original intentions of this ad.

In addition, I respect the above post about family and think it is very honorable that you are putting family first. However, why the heck did you post stuff you've been sitting on for years right when you son is supposed to come?
