    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

The Space Ball is a wild caught ball python that was purchased from the Snake Farm located in San Antonio TX in 2008, her age is unknown and she is the only one like her but may very well be a very abberant normal! Im hoping to prove otherwise. She was bred to a fire as many of you know and this morning 6 perfect eggs were recovered from her tub. :thumbsup:

You can probably guess where this is going if it does prove to be genetic.
The Fire Spaceball will be the MARSBALL, and so on and so on.....

Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should breed to her to make some more Ball Pythons named after PLANETS?

She also looks black pastelish. I would breed her to another black pastel to see if it's the same or similar gene.

She's pretty but I wouldn't be putting a name to something unless its proved out. That just makes you look foolish. I know you're excited but there's ways to do things and ways to not.

Congrats on the eggs. Can't wait to see the babies.

What's to worry about and why is it your business to say something? This isn't a rude comment towards you, so please don't take offense. It's just that it seems like everyone on this forum lately has something nasty to say. The herp community is turning into a high school drama reality show as of lately. And to the person who said it makes you look foolish to name a snake before its proven; who cares? The guy is excited. Let him have fun. If it doesn't prove out then there is no SpaceBall. Oh well. No big deal. The herp community should be cheering him on, not spewing rude comments for no reason at all.

Ralph Davis and Brian Barczyk(and I'm sure quite a few others) have dropped boatloads of cash on snakes that they have named that have never or have yet to prove out. Pretty sure the Orange Dream was named before it ever proved out.

Granted, the subject of this thread really just looks like a fairly busy patterned normal, but if the guy is willing to put in the work with it, he can call it whatever he likes as far as I'm concerned.

Have you ever heard of the JESTER ball python? its a wild caught virgin and everyones talking about it. So I wanted to name mine just in case it did prove out, I would have some proof that I came up with the name SpaceBall first.:yesnod:

Thats a very nice Fire!

On my snake if you notice the side pattern is consisted of upsidedown tear drops similar to a mojave and they never touch eachother! On your fire the side pattern markings all seem to meet at the bottom. Although your Fire is very nice I dont think they look alike at all.
