In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Sandfire Superfoods...

i havent used the crested or leopard gecko diets but i have used the gargoyle gecko diet which is basically the same as the crestie and leachie diets as i understand it... so far i like them and my geckos do well on them however i have not switched them completely over...... i feed my gargoyles a mixture of the sandfire food and baby food and give them calcium dusted crix or mealies. i know several people who have and do use these foods and swear y it.. just my .02 cents

Thanks--the leo one is a supplement from what I can find out, but a complete one, no more vitimans here, and calcium there--just one powder, which sounds wonderful!!

Any more info from anyone?

I use all sandfire superfoods . . .

. . . and love them. I recently switched all my leos over to the Leopard Gecko ICB dust - using it on my mealworms. I am looking forward to comparing egg production/hatch rates - but at this moment, I like the growth rates I'm getting with the few juvi's I'm getting and the overall health and vigor of the rest of my breeding group.

I would highly recommend it.

I also use the crested and gargoyle diet exclusively. What a joy not to have messy/stinky crickets around!!!

Thanks!!

That was my main reason for no cresteds yet--I hate crickets. I have my one leo on supers and mealies, so not nearly as bad as crickets.

Do you know of any breeders who are raising cresteds on the superfoods diet? I would rather wait and get one than to try and swap one over--and I still have to talk my husband into letting me get another reptile!!

Thanks!

cg diet cresteds . . .

Jenn, it's really not that hard to change them over to CG diet. They will eat it if they are hungry enough. Everything I have eats it very well.

giantgeckos.com - Philippe DeVosjoli feeds cg diet - so does "Sandfire dragon Ranch - allen Repashy who invented the stuff - feeds his cresteds the diet.

I've purchased cresteds who were on crix and baby food and switched them with no problem at all.

Plus - as a bonus - their waste is much more solid, making it easier to clean up, then the chicken shots that most crix-fed cresteds have.

hmmmm...

I have not used any of these products, and the reason is that the manufacturers have said that these diets are "species specific." I am concerned about the level of fructose if used in a leopard lecko's diet... any comments?

They have a powder just for leos...not a food replacement, but a supplement replacement. Directions are to use the powder at every feeding.

It sounds much easier to me to use the powder for every feeding, than to remember what day it is, and what powder you're supposed to use for calcium/vitamen supplements.

kelli and i were talking bout this one the phone... i would assume the all in one suppliments may be okay but what we were talking about is long term effects.... or like an overdosing of minerals???... i know it contains iodine.. how much i dont know but i have read (in other animals) ann over abundance of iodine can be very harmful... so my mineral supplimentation everyday could this do more harm than good??? lethal or damaging doses of minerals?? i dont know just something we were talking about
