    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My other geckos have been shedding fine lately but my female SHTCT is another story. Shes been retaining it on her toes and has already lost one because of it. I keep having to soak her and rub it off. I try and keep the paper towels under the hide on the warmside damp but nothing seems to work. Her tail also has a dry spot near the end. Any ideas? Should I maybe switch to something like damp bed a beast under the hide?

I use a margarine container or one of those disposable plastic containers with the lid left on it (Gladware or something like that) and put damp coconut fiber in it and cut a hole either in the top or on the side and that really seems to help them shed well
The coconut fiber seems to hold the moisture longer than just wetting/spraying paper towels
hope that this helps some
:D

I bought pinkies yesterday and darn it all I opened the paper bag they came in and wouldnt you know it, the kid gave me hoppers, frozen of course. I gotta go back to return them so I'll see if I cant get some fiber.

Also, when I had a female with shedding problems it turned out that she had a calcium deficiency. I had just bought her and the vet said it looked to him like she had probably been bred without letting her cool down and not supplemented enough. You might try upping the calcium and overall nutrition of food items and see if that helps.

I dust every meal, I think its just the humidity. Shes not breeding either. Either way I'm gunna go get some today if I can.
