• Responding to email notices you receive.
    **************************************************
In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    Addendum: 01/10/2026
    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

Shipping snake's USPS illegal? I see people post that it is. So i went looking for the info myself. Here is what i found.

http://www.usps.com/send/waystosendmail/extraservices/specialhandlingservice.htm

Mailing Live Animals
Customers shipping live animals must ensure all packaging requirements are met. Live animal shipments may be presented at any Post Office; however, the service standard may be affected depending on the availability of transportation from the drop-off site.

Customers sending Express Mail shipments containing live animals should expect a 2-3 day transport of their shipment. Shipping early in the week is suggested, and holiday weeks may have limited acceptance days and times. Express Mail postage will not be refunded unless the delivery or attempted delivery is more than three days after the day of mailing.

Yep, mailing snakes via USPS is a big no-no. More info regarding the mailing of snakes.

b. All poisonous animals except scorpions mailed for medical research purposes or for the manufacture of antivenom; all poisonous insects; all poisonous reptiles; and all types of snakes, turtles, and spiders.

c. All disease germs or scabs.

d. All explosives, flammable material, infernal machines, and mechanical, chemical, or other devices or compositions that may ignite or explode.

You shouldnt use usps anyhow not very reliable i would go Ups or SYR Which is the same thing but you get a better deal but your still shipping through Ups

i ordered some turtles from a certain website, and they used usps to ship turtles. it pissed me off because not only were they not overnighted like i expected, but when i received them... they were sitting in my mailbox all day. they were fine, but still.

b. All poisonous animals except scorpions mailed for medical research purposes or for the manufacture of antivenom; all poisonous insects; all poisonous reptiles; and all types of snakes, turtles, and spiders.

Should someone inform them that there aren't any poisonous reptiles? It always amuses me when people get venomous and poisonous mixed up. One implies eating. ;-)

You can get an account set up with Fed-Ex. There is a thread on this forum that says how to do it.

It is not illegal to ship using Fed-Ex or UPS, it is illegal to ship snakes through the USPS.
