    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

My question is if I make this pairing, is it safe to assume that all of the offspring will look exactly like the mother SHTCTB? Since I come from a boa constrictor background and a visual het albino marker is speckling; is there a chance that these het animals will have spots?
 
Yes some can have spots. Even the best of the best SHTCTB X SHTCTB pairing can produces a Hypo Tang or a Tang. But you should get some nice SHTCTBs.

No, it would not be safe to assume that..... Infact I am willing to bet that the majority of babies will be spotted.... You may get some that can look like mom but whenever you outcross a SHTCTB to a normal pattern (the recessive patternless gene will be masked by the outcross) they do tend to loose something....
 
An example of what Gregg and I are telling you, is in my post of my hatchlings from this year so far. http://www.faunaclassifieds.com/forums/showthread.php?t=80119 The first three came from the same pairing, a very nice SHTCTB X (normal no tang or hypo) Tremper Albino. The first one a male when completely done changing may still have some spotting, the second a female, looks like she's going to be a SHTCTB and the third, unisexed, looks to be a normal to Hi-Yellow, only more time will tell on that one. I feel I was lucky to get two real nice ones out of the first clutch and may not even get any more even with 3 more clutches and the female still laying eggs. If you look at the rest of the clutches in that thread you will see some differences in each hatchling to it's clutchmate, those were all SHT(CTB) x HT(same father to all). The ones that are much lighter seem to be leaning to SH, but they are still too young to know for sure.

I think the fun part about working with the SHTCTB's is the waiting and watching these little guys grown up. They go through so many changes, and you really never know for sure what they will end up as.

Go ahead and pair them up, but know that not all will be SHTCTB's and the ones that are, may not be as nice as mom.
 
Thanks for all your input. You see, I have some really nice females and the only 2 males I do have are one mature Masterpiece Gecko line patternless and one of his young hypo tang het patternless sons. I'm trying to figure out how to produce more high end geckos with the males and females I do have now. Looks like I might end up in the market for another SHTCTB or hybino male sometime in the next year.
